I was about to fork out 299.99 for the lifetime subscription to STO and, What do I find?? PAYPAL IS NOT LISTED IN PAYMENT METHODS WHEN LIFETIME IS SELECTED!!!!
what's the deal here?
I was fully committed and ready to paying for the lifetime, But, Unfortunately, To my horror, I couldnt!!
Paypal is THE ONLY way I am prepared to use my credit card online. END OF DISCUSSION. I have had my credit card details stolen FAR TOO MANY TIMES to count, From SUPPOSEDLY secure MMO sites and NO, Im NOT an idiot, I check web addresses and page security, Source code, The works, To confirm legitimacy.
GOOD GOING crapstick...You've just lost another 300 bucks because you removed the most secure payment method available online...Oh well. Back to Lord of the Rings Online, I go!
no s**t...Im actually tossing up whether or not to continue my current subscription...I mean, Really...Not offering Paypal for their most expensive product is like saying "Sure, We won't provide you ANY added security for our most expensive product, But we'll give you the added security for our cheaper products."
Anybody else see something wrong with this picture?!?

good job to who ever at cryptic said (lets establish a credit card only policy) i though this game was for people at-least 13years old or older were a 13 year old is more likely not to have a CREDIT CARD

It's not a matter of having a credit card or not...It's a matter of financial security. Being in the Australian military, You are given a credit card - This is how wages are paid..No choice. Not providing additional security for your most expensive product, But providing it for your cheap product/s - Dumbass logic.
I want to know that my money is secure and not providing the security of paypal for your most expensive product is basically saying "ye, we're going to rip you off at some point, Deal with it."
hell...Just for this bonehead move ALONE, That cryptic have made, I pray that STO tanks completely when Final Fantasy XIV and The Old Republic are launched and released.

Yeah... Um... I'm replying to the whole thing, but there's something that really sticks out that I'd like to re-quote here.

I'm not an idiot either. The source code isn't on your end. You can't check it. All you can check is the markup code. Not the source code that generated the markup. If you could check the actual source code, you could completely take Cryptic for a ride on a fraud roller coaster. In fact, there'd be a lot of You Tube clones out there because people would be able to just take the source code and use that to do a clone. It doesn't work like that. At all.
As for web addresses and page security. Are you implying that Cryptic is doing something funny about web addresses and page security?
Lastly. You say you're not an idiot. So I guess I don't need to point out the fact that you can put money into PayPal from your credit card and then use a PayPal check card as a Mastercard to still use your paypal account where paypal is not accepted. I completely don't need to tell you that because you are as you say, not an idiot.

Always questionable.

Ironically enough, Cryptic never receives your credit card details.
