ship hallways WAY oversized

as all of us know, the current ship interior hallways are far too big to even fit inside our ships. they look nothing close to Star Trek, and might as well be converted into shuttle bays due to their extreme size.

so i am left wondering WHY the team has made them like this? surely they have seen an episode of Star Trek? is there some sort of copyright restrictions going on? these hallways have been criticized forever, (before ship interiors), so why would you add these to the ship interiors if you know people were not going to like them?

sorry, but scaling down hallways is not a difficult concept to grasp. everything about the interiors is too large. (apart from the ready room) for example, sick bay has about 12 biobeds. the enterprise-D, carrying about a thousand ppl. only had about 7 (including surgical bed)

so lets not dream too big, k?

    I'm thinking they are that size so people don't complain about how crappy the camera works on the interiors.
    Also, so they don't get clogged up with all the npc's wandering around.

    It's a mixture of the character pathing system in Cryptic's engine requiring rooms that big and also a problem with the geometry involved in the engine since STO is simply using the same engine as Champions Online.

    And where is the ShuttleBay , diplomatic room, torpedo room etc ? -_- :eek: :D

    For immersion, we need to have more deck.

    for exemple, there are 34 deck on the Excelsior ! xD

    Its a start, let them work on it.

    I think they need less crewmen actually. And i want them to stay out of my room. I love the sliding doors though. They're uber.

    the turbolift is small and has no camera problems. I'm tired of the "it's the camera" arguement. It's false, get over it. Pathing is a different story.

    They are also WAAAAAY crowded. I think we either need to reduce the wandering NPC crewmembers or replace them entirely with more stationary ones.
