exploration missions: my take on them...

I really like them. I really enjoy coming in at the end of the day and doing explorations missions. They are a great way to relax and work on collecting anomalies for the fleet. In my fleet we opened up the fleet bank to everyone in the fleet and use the bank as a repository for anomalies, food, tribbles, and useless equipment. The equipment gets sold to a replicator which provides money for the credit line we offer to all our pilots.

So far we are up to 4 additional fleet bank tabs past the initial ones we get. I plan to have all 8 by the end of the year. By making the anomalies readily available, when we do fleet missions with people, everyone can get anomalies on "need&greed" since they are not worth anything, no one will steal them. This helps out our crafters tremendously. Now they don't have to go all over creation finding specific anomalies. We have 80+ people helping them.

It is our hope that crafting eventually is done in the ships interior and fleet starbase. I suspect the fleet starbase will work like the captains table works like. I hope we will be able to have our own crafters have a fleet exchange so they can market their products to people in the fleet. To support this we added our own fleet trade channel.

The edition of "aid the planet" missions has given a nice quality to the game for exploration missions. At first it was buggy, but eventually has proven to be quite nice. I hope diplomatic missions will do the same thing. It is my understanding that these will activate at a slow pace like aid the planet missions do.

I hope these are long slow grind missions that take months to accumulate points for. I do not have any problem with slow grinds. It took me a year and half to grind out Bio- Engineer in Star Wars Galaxy.

My fleet we have our own Fleet Radio Station for our pilots enjoyment. It helps bridge the gap of PVE, PVP, STF s, and Role play. I hope they allow for single player pvp, which I would like to use to stage personal conflicts for role-play stories.

My main complement about exploration missions is it provides for me variety. It allows me to do something in the game and watch a movie at the same time.
