There is a question that people are fighting over on the forums and in game for some time now and I think maybe a straight answer from someone from Cryptic could put a lot of things to rest for many players.
Many think the Klingon Faction was always meant to be a PvP monster faction only, like Lord of the Rings but the faction was forced in by player demand, others claim it was always meant to be a Full and Equal faction as compared to the Federation side of the game.
Can someone from Cryptic answer one way or the other as to what the Klingon Side is meant to be Officially and put this to rest? Is it a PvP monster faction or a full Faction and equally important to STO as the Federation side of the game?
Also if the Klingon Faction is meant to be a monster PvP faction what does this mean for future factions? IE Romulans?
An official Response would settle a lot of things for many players and might go a long way to help people know what to expect for whatever faction they chose to play. No one likes to discover that they wasted their hopes and time on a misunderstanding of what to expect.
the answers to your question already lay in the replies many of the long term players of this game have posted. so you don't get a garbled reply from myself, i'll just suggest you closely follow those threads and read the links provided.
i will give you this as a hint...... cryptic did change the goalposts from what was promised to what they delivered.
on a plus note, cryptic are moving to redress the lack of pve content which is good. having joint episodes open to all factions as are being planned will help down the track with romulans and other factions as well. just these things take time, which is why we can't realistically expect romulans to be introduced for another year or so. because no one in game wants to see them introduced in the same way and with the same difficulties that the klingon faction have had to face.
now if a dev wants to post regarding the matter so be it.
