Female STO Players?

SystemSystem Member, NoReporting Posts: 178,019 Arc User
I'm just curious as to how many female players we have here. I recently read that MMORPG could stand for Millions of Men Online Role Playing as Girls. Which is funny...because it seems to be true.

So female players, stand up and be heard! (Or at least the ones that peruse the forums, and who bother to read this thread, who also bother to reply)

There are actually quite a few female players. Though most hide away.

you might not have been here before but we have had several threads like this. they usually end badly.

plenty of women play sto, as well as many other games. the split between men and women is much more even that you might think, but it really should not matter who or what we are in real life

we are all just gamers at the end of the day

Male or female all are welcome in STO, just as long as they are respectful and willing to have some fun ;)

If anyone posts in this thread saying their female, then people are just going to ask them to prove it, and that's when you verge on the whole internet stalker-y business.

Is it wrong for millions of men to NOT want to stare at a male avatar while playing a game?

    ive never understood that argument

it makes no sense. its a little cartoon character. what difference does it make what sex you make it.
i assume other men dont watch football for the same reason or action movies because they dont like to look at other men, even when they are made up.

its like someone just wants to prove that they are hetrosexual by saying they would rather stare at a female cartoon character.

finding the little female avatars attractive because you dont want to stare at a male one, well thats pretty wrong in my book.

unless its jessica rabbit, then its ok ;)

It mostly has to do with the view. You find yourself staring at someone's backside for an extended period of time, it would be nice if it was a pleasant looking backside. I call it the Lara Croft syndrome, mosly because I first noticed the advantages of playing a female character when I was playing Tomb Raider.
