For a low price of 600cp, you can enable "High Endurance" - this will allow your character to run for twice the duration of the current running!

Grrrrrr, can't the run time be lengthened? Even if it's unlocked as you level up.

I would suppose this would be to allow people who now complain about the amount of time missions take to Hurry and get done quicker??

if this is rumor then shame on you. if this is fact then perhaps that c-st0re boycott should be put in place. this is suppose to be an mmo, not some sort of TRIBBLE half TRIBBLE mmo with little gimmicks here and then all so that you can sell functional attributes on the c-store. WTH is this some sort of scheme to make money on top of the monthly bill you charge us. really what are we paying for in all honesty. Ill tell u what we dont have.

1 station or the ability to build them
2 ship yards or the ability to build them
3 mining or the ability to survey for starfleet. how is this federation/empire running this war without materials
4 colonies, how is this a war or fake war being functional in the game.their is no purpose behind the game
5 The game is not functioning like the movies or past TV shows. The wars depicted in the tv/movies had
purpose and ground that was loss and taken.
6 while this so called diplomatic core is interesting its function should be to setup new trade routes, new
member worlds, new materials and technology.
    7. the klingons need something to do really. I mean they are in something called a war so why arent they
attacking wordls and starfleet outpost on the border or doing raids on starfleet trade lines.

This is the function of an MMOG. It is so that the players control the functions and attributes of the game while the npc is on the side for logistical attributes for beginners and poeple without a fleet. You can bring in anothe race to be the catalsyt to the game but if there is no function to that race such as taking ground or lossing it then its all a waste of time. Players need to have function of doing something towards a goal.. STO has no goal right now so we are just play test TRIBBLE for cryptic in a star trek build and paying money for it. I mean hell we can even go into a real career in starfleet. Your a captain of a ship in three careers but their is no function besides the usual run and shoot. Starfleet was not about running and gunning.

Ive played the game twice the second time much slower. Taking my time to go through alot of the attributes. What i have learned is you can add ranks, ships, new races, corps or whatever you want. if it doesnt allow us to change the game or bring true function through our actions then whats the point. if players can build things protect trade routes, take worlds or defend them then we will have function and content added along with a true econemy. Think about that before you try to fool us with some half asre so called content

Well put this is actually what Startrek was meant to be and hyped to be what we got on the other hand is a skeleton with pitiful excuse for fleshing out and fixing bugs calling it content.

I think someone missed the point. Could be due to the fact that I didn't have one really. Except wanting to run longer.

1 station or the ability to build them Something I support, but based on current game mechanics I don't anticipate being available before the end of the year at the earliest.

2 ship yards or the ability to build them My question for this would be, for what purpose? Why would it be advantageous to have this ability based on current mechanics

3 mining or the ability to survey for starfleet. how is this federation/empire running this war without materials Another thing I have advocated. The ability to get rare materials would certainly influence at least the crafting market, if you made it so that certain raw materials were required to make things instead of the certain system

4 colonies, how is this a war or fake war being functional in the game.their is no purpose behind the game
5 The game is not functioning like the movies or past TV shows. The wars depicted in the tv/movies had
purpose and ground that was loss and taken.
The 'function is 'enjoyment.' Now granted being able to place colonies and take and hold territory is something I also advocated in another thread. I think this would actually make a marked improvement along the 'war fronts' of the Federation.

6 while this so called diplomatic corp is interesting its function should be to setup new trade routes, new
member worlds, new materials and technology. A functionality I can in no way argue against at all.

    7. the klingons need something to do really. I mean they are in something called a war so why arent they
attacking wordls and starfleet outpost on the border or doing raids on starfleet trade lines. Really this is the same point as 4 and 5, I still wish that they hadn't listened to the fans and given them Klingons at launch but c'est la vie.
    *notes above*
I will say that alot of these features are ones that EVE presently have, one thing though, EVE didn't have them at launch.

I would like the added bonus of a cut scene that shows my character and BO's in a screaming fit on the bridge of my ship when ever I ram someone in combat.
Initiat Ram, flip to cut scene " AAHAHAHAHAAAHHH!!!" sparks flying explosion in the background, flip back to regular play and boom.

The c-store is getting ridiculous. They should just dispense with all this preamble and make the **** free-to-play already. Having us get nickle and dimed if we want BASIC content that any other pay-to-play game would put in for free is getting old.

I have no problem with some c-store extras, but this is getting downright ludicrous at this point. It's not a matter of having the c-store in the first place, it's a matter of how much content is designed to straight up nickle and dime an already paying customer base.
    massively wrote:
Without spewing vitriol in the comments, let us consider the WoW model. Just as Cryptic does with STO, Blizzard runs the game mainly on subscriptions while offering a handful of purchasable perks on the side. You can buy a cute in-game pet or a soul-scarringly expensive star horse if you wish. But if you don't want to shell out the cash, WoW makes dozens of pets and dozens of mounts readily available, for free.

That is where the comparison to STO breaks down. STO currently offers nine playable Federation races, and nine more for purchase in the C-Store. Players have access to nine ship types when they reach Rear Admiral, and another eight in the C-Store. Do you see what I'm getting at? Unlike Blizzard's store, the offerings from which represent the merest fraction of equivalent content available in-game, Cryptic's store contains fully half of the Federation races, and nearly half of the game's top-tier ships! And don't even get me started on the fact that the folks at Cryptic want you to pay human moneys for emotes.

Put very simply, players have to buy an outrageous proportion of certain content -- half of the races and nearly half of the endgame ships in STO -- on top of the mandatory subscription. So what happens when you remove most subscriptions from the equation?

I couldn't put it any better.
