Autoupdate dosen't work

HI

My auto update doesn’t work. It just says “Trying to update the launcher. Be patient. Tried connecting 15 times.”
I have tried to restart the game but the same things just come back up.
Any ideas on how it fix it?

    Same here too, i loged in between maintenance and update the launcher...but now 2 hrs later it doesnt work now.

    Well i´ll try later

    I have both tried whit firewalls and security on and off. But still not working.
    I have closed my torrent app too but still the same.

    I also verified I have a firewall exception for the program, everything is good, but still trying to connect, 16 times now...

    Confirming the same here, both on my mac (boot camp) and pc laptop. Been no probelms before with either.

    Are there any problems whit the STO server?
    On the front page for STO it says that the server is up. So it shouldn’t be any problems whit the game server.

    Are STO using different servers like, one server for launcher and that part and other/others servers for the game?

    I am also having the same problem with being unable to launch the autoupdate
    I have only twice gotten passed this stage but then the launcher is unable to connect to holodeck or tribble it just tells me connecting

    I played STO this morning but now when i try to connect it only says.

    "Trying to update the launcher.
    Please be patient.
    Tried connecting 73 times.:eek:

    Someone do something........:mad:

    Same here, Auto-Update window open and keeps trying to connect with no success... It opened up the launcher once and then when signed in it got stuck on trying to connect.

    Com'on Cryptic, wheres your emergency Tech Suuport guys or whatever you might call them!? :mad:

    Edit(1): Tried connecting 9 times...
    Edit (2): Tried connecting 10 times...
    Edit (3): Tried connecting 11 times...
    Edit (4): Restarted the Launcher and... Tried connecting 2 times...
    Edit(5): Tried connecting 5 times...
    Edit(6) Tried connecting 8 times...

    Posted elswere but also in the same boat. Tried multiple times, even rebooted my router. Most times I get the autoupdate message about trying to connect - BUT sometime it HAS brought up the launching screen and accepted my login, but at that point it just sits at "connecting..." to the Holodect server.

    Have been running the Cryptic nettest app and see no issue there:

    fixed. restarted comp, router and modem. unsure if this was the solution or if cryptic fixed it.
    something you may want to try.

    This is getting quite frustrating so many issues with something that should be straight forward. I have tried every which way but I dont even get past tried connecting 1 time. Cmon Cryptic Please help. :confused:

    this is a peer to peer forum if you need cryptic help you need to open a ticket.
    Also posting in a thread that several other people posted that have simular but different problem and say I have the same problem does not help much.

    need more detail exactly what your problem is ahnd what have you done or not done.
