Can't Open Support Ticket

SystemSystem Member, NoReporting Posts: 178,019 Arc User
I am trying to open a support ticket through the website but I am unable to get anywhere.

I click onto the Customer Support screen while logged in, click on "Submit / Review Help Tickets". The I click on "Create New Ticket" with the intention of opening a new ticket for support.

I then click Tech support from the two options.

The in the eight options that appear on the screen I firmly press my left mouse button on the words that say "Patching or Installation Issues" and the surrounding area goes all blue to let me know that I have successfully clicked it.

Thats it.

No loading page, no busy icon, no second tab open. Its as if it wasn't a button at all. At first I thought I was being impatient so I clicked it and have written this post thus far and the page still hasn't done anything.

I am using Chrome v5.0.375.99 with Win7 Home Premium.

Hope you can help.

EDIT:

While I am here I might as well post the actual issue I am trying to get help on:

I am trying to download STO for my laptop but the download has warped up to 22% and has hung there with 0.00Kb/s speed for about 20 minutes and counting. I have rebooted and redownloaded the downloader software and it warps to 22% and then sits there, which is where I am now.

I tried downloading the Torrent version, but it has no seeders and was sitting at 0%. In comparison I can stop the STO download and still download something else at my full capacity, which indicates something wrong outside my area of influence. Thus, I need assistance.

Aww, I like chrome. Not going to use IE, so looks like I am going to have to download Firefox just for STO...

    EDIT:

Used IE 8 as it saved cluttering up my HDD with one-use-programs and I still get the same result. The links don't do anything with Internet Explorer either. I'm using the x64 version of IE 8.

Yeah, it had nothing to do with the browser I had. After I pressed search it appeared to have done nothing but then I noticed in small blue writing at the bottom of the screen it said, "My issue isn't listed here, create a new one!" What a silly way to make getting support assistance so unintuitive. Support assistance should be the most basic part of a site. Sure it's easy when you know that you have to search for nothing in order to ask for help.

Thanks Miiru, +1 internets to you!

Don't need the ticket now as I used the Direct 2 Drive downloader which finished all 8 Gigs in 45 mins. So clearly the cryptic servers are so clogged up with whatever that they can't stream a stable download.

The UI is a bit obtuse, yes.
