I was playing sto and i just finnished a exploration mission, and bam i loose connection. After this i proceed to reload the game, the first time fails, then i get hit with a 150 MB patch. Someone care to explain?
I got in, lost connection (which never happens with the ISP I have) went to log in and got stuck at Char screen. Tried to reload launcher and got stuck again at the same place I started.
I was in game, and got kicked. Launcher tried to connect to a patch, that I'm guessing was non-existant so I bypassed and launched the game client from the directory. Got stuck on the Connecting to Account Server screen, and now has backed me out to the log in again.
you can not launch the game from the gameclient it will not work. the launcher passes information to the gameclient it needs to connect to the servers.
I can log into the launcher, but gets stuck on patch process...like its looking to patch for something that isnt there.
This was a patcher issue earlier in the day which has since been fixed. (Make sure you don't have an old copy of the patcher client running, you must quit and restart it)
question for those having problems. how and where did you install the game (live and tribble) and did you move any directories to different locations after intall?
As far as I'm aware, this happened suddenly, as in I was playing, and then disconnected, and then couldn't reconnect. I don't think I moved anything, and my installation was done months ago using the default options.
After the download it solved my problem, however seemed to take longer to load things up. As for the other question i have not touched tribble not once. Finnaly another person in my fleet had the same exparince as me but at a differant time, well another person had no problems what so ever. So maybe it was a fluke or something.

What the duece? Is something crashed or is this a surprise? Cause I hate surprises.........
I'm having the same issue....
I also have tribble access.

The furthest I've ever gotten on the download is 91%, at which point it just stopped. It didn't freeze, it just stopped downloading the patch at 91%.
I have tried:
Defragging the HDD and the registry.
Running CCleaner.
Force Verifying.
Deleting all my patch info and redownloading everything from scratch, then when that didn't work, restoring my backups of the original patch files.
Using System Restore to go back to before the error, and redownloading from scrach.
Currently, the patcher simply does nothing. It just sits there. It doesn't even crash anymore, unless I forget to click "Force Verify".
