Shield Reinforcement Issue

Cryptic, please make shield reinforcement by means of transfering power to shields rate faster and longer. It seems extremely slow in my opinion regardless of what shield system you use. Also, I tire of hitting the reinforcement button with my fingers if I am under heavy attack. Don't feel like getting carpal tunnel at an early age as most people don't either playing these intense games. Thanks.

I get around this issue by binding Distribute Shield Power to an easily clicked button on my mouse. It's very easy to click frequently while under attack. You should try it out!

    /bind Space "GenSendMessage HUD_Root FirePhasers$$+power_exec Distribute_Shields"

    Then mash spacebar as usual.

Did the same here, bound to one of the sidebuttons worked - but it is still rather annoying to keep hammering it.

You could also bind... multiple tray abilitys to a single key with your distribute shields... say like emergency power to shields or some such power. ;)

But then you get people who call you cheaters or "unskilled north american players" for using a bind mechanic that is present in game....

I remember specifically Picard issuing 8 commands in 0.25 seconds in the heat of battle.
Don't see why it shouldn't be that way in game too!
    :)

Seriously, this should be changed. Bind all you want, but it doesn't excuse a poor design on this. Its completely silly to have to mash the reinforce shields button endlessly.

I use this and it works well.
It only fires when the spacebar is mashed and you can still set some of your weapons to auto, all while pumping your shields up at the same time.
