HELP!! Account Error

Hey guys, i just re-subed today and when i try to log into STO from steam the following happens:

>I log in using my correct log in name
>Takes me to the patch screen and the server status goes from "UP" to "DOWN"
>Then at the bottom it says "Account error please click here for more information"

I click the "Here" link and it takes me here: http://startrekonline.com/support/account_error

When i click enter my retail key, i copy it from steam and paste it in the box but it says "this key has already been registered"

I have no idea what the heck is going on, i actually took a screen you can see it here: http://img718.imageshack.us/i/steamfail.jpg/

    I have this same problem with my account, I just assumed it was because I cancelled my account and hadn't resubscribed yet. I was looking to get fully patched before I decided to re-up my subscription.

    I installed using the disc. Perhaps because the version on the disc is so old that the server no longer recognizes it and causes the error. Did you install from the disc? If so, perhaps we should try downloading the game client from the server and see if the error persists.

    EDIT: I totally skipped over the fact you said your copy was the Steam Version and would therefore have no disc to install from. I'm curious if you can download the game client and install using that even though you purchased the game using Steam.

    you can download the client for cryptic but you still need an active account with a subscription to patch the game.

    if you reactivated the account by logging in to the account at the main site and select reactivate . if you still have a valid paymant method tied to the account it should activate whne the payment is verified.
    depending on the payment type may take a couple of days (just don't cancel the subscription after you activate as that will mess things up have to wait a few days)

    if there is a problem it can only be fixed by opening a ticket with billing.
    you have to log in to your account, at the support site select the catagory of the problem(drop down boxes) and do a search look at one of the search results article and at the bottom is a link to submit a ticket.

    You are probably just another person that has had their account cancelled for no reason, like myself, and others here.
