I'm getting a whole slew of bugs (Some re-occurring), and its getting worse. I'm not sure if its a Local error at my end or not (but I suspect it is).
Is there any way of making the game repair or Verify its files? So I can avoid having to Download the entire thing again, which takes a couple of days.
So can anyone help? Thanks, its getting a bit horrific trying to play with these lot going on, and they're getting worse and more frequent. I can only guess its my installation or a Corrupt character file (unlikely I bet).
Here's a Brief list of the bugs I'm encountering. If I put a number at the end of the its how many times the bug has occurred, all other ones are multiple times.
When my character got promoted to Commander, the text said that I was a Klingon Commander. (1)
Despite being a Captain 5, no additional uniform slots are unlocked. I can edit the other slots, but when one hits "Purchase" it says the slot is not unlocked. The same happens with the "Rename" option. (not entirely sure when all the slots are unlocked, but as there's 4 of them, and only one rank available I'm guessing some should be ready about now?). Off duty works fine though.
The Camera keeps locking up, so that the Camera stays in "crouch" mode, and won't respond to commands. Space bar will normally force the Camera into normal mode. It has gone into this even when I've not been crouched. (2)
When ever I use a Science power, or sometimes (~50% of the time, I'd guess) when there's a ship explosion, my Auto firing weapons will stop working, and need another open fire command.
The Graphic of my Character will lock into the firing graphic. I'll Press the ground combat fire button and the arm with the gun will stay extended in the firing position, with the shot's Visual effect permanently attached to the weapon. Even switching weapons and changing posture will not break this. I can still fire, but there's no FX of firing, just the damage on the target (1)
My away Team refuse to fight. Despite me being in combat they'll just sit there. I've ran through a group of enemies and the response of the team was to sit there. Sometimes one or two of them will engage, sometimes none.
When in a ship my personal tray will lock up and it is impossible to move icons around. (1)
The moue pointer will freeze into the Mouse over "Click to target" option, and grown a trail.
For good connections, column 1 and 3 have values around 500 kb/sec (outgoing/incoming), column 2 has values around 20 kb/sec (transfer rate). If the values in these columns is less than what is expected you may have filtering or blocked ports either on your personal network or from your ISP.
the launcher options there is a force verify option that will check the files.
But I think part of the problem may be the server getting out of sync with your client. So the requested information is to check to see if anything is strange going
Post a dxdaig of your system. also do a tracert patchserver.crypticstudios.com
One more time in words of one syllable? To give you an idea what my PC user knowledge level is, a programmer friend described me "[...] as Tech supports worst nightmare You know enough to be dangerous!"

Ok thanks. Will do when I get home. But last time I ran a speed test I got 9.5MB, so the connection should be reasonable.

Speed tests only indicate the speed you download or upload at, they have no baring on ports or network paths which are vital to the games connectivity.

yeh your isp can mess up your routing like they did to me once they sendt my packets via pakistan that was going to america *puts on tinfoil hat* ohh might been intercepted ! haha well it happens isps can mess up your routing hops...

If by Column's you mean the Vertical ones, 1 and 3 Average about 70, with a peak of 119. Column 2 peak's at 5...
Hope that sheds some light. I'm guessing the strength of those results is lower as this is peak time.
Thanks.
So it looks like you may be having some of your traffic blocked or filtered by either a security protocol. Make sure that exceptions are made and if you have made them before remake then just in case. If you need help doing this most anti-virus company's have instructions on their website. Also make sure the outbound TCP ports 7000-7499 on your router are open. Instructions to do this are with the router or on manufactures website.

A "kind of" work around to this...
If your away team is behind you, out of combat, or behind an obstacle that provides a line-of-sight conflict, click the \/ down arrow icon on the commands of the top away team member, it will change your cursor to a #1-#2-#3-#4 icon and you click the ground and you'll see numbered circles. Your away team will run to the circles and remain there until you right click on the \/ icon again. This gets the line-of-sight problem out of the way.
Now, you simply press the Y key which has your away team attack your target. This gets them back to fighting (as opposed to just standing or crouching behind the battle).
Not a bug fix or a perfect solution but it will get your away team back into action.

Nettest:
Go to http://files.champions-online.com/nettest.exe
Download this file and run it
A command prompt should appear running the test automatically

So how to fix it?
Can you copy/paste the results so we can look at them?
