simple really- speed- mask energy sig /polarize hull

dive into a pack- masked- full impulse have two or three klinks follow you as best they can
(and this is the real ploy- human nature- some will persist- like Khan - they make it a mission to get you)
and you have taken out three or more ships from the game

(evasive manuevers after they blast your front shields and then click the hell out of your rear one)

have other feds hold postions (capture/hold)

works sometimes- sometimes not

however, in outnumbered games i do it to #$%^^&*&( with people
never had a problem with cowards myself- even in the military they know who is who and have them carry ammo and stuff

If your a casual gamer -

Fact- The pvp "experts" will have a build and devices that are geared for combat or combat help
they have experience and time and spend energy to get things right (devices)

Fact- Data found he could not beat some guy at chess- so he played for a draw- ie-
changed his goal

the evidence is clear

I don't know what happened to you, but my assistant gunner (i was a m60 team) was the person I trusted the most. If he didn't his part well the machine didn't operate. 1st Infantry, Desert Storm

All I did to be the gunner was carry the weapon and was more accurate using short bursts. The ammo guy actually bore more weight and had to carry is m16 as well. A pretty tough dude IMO.

Whilst i get the idea behind your tactic. I think you're merely just gonna get yourself blasted with no real return for your own side.

Being a decoy is fair enough but you're just going to get subnuked and popped in a second.

Ah a fellow machine gunner! I was a 240B gunner for a while. Started as a AG and your right it was tough; 762 rounds, spare barrels, M4, and his own 556 ammo. Crew drills were done daily to ensure gunner and AG worked seamlessly together. A little off topic, but I couldn't resist.

strange, i am like a peace guy that makes fun of military guys all the time but get along with them for some reason or other and party with a few that i make laugh, never see them get uptight, (at me) party dogs-and they were all trek fans ( ex bradley cmdr, ex-ranger etc) - maybe its just one of them things-

i wonder if the military makes you actually like people more, not less, which is kinda ironic - probably they know a threat better then most- and so there is never a prob

i just don't know what to think other then painting people with a broad brush has been proven wrong so many times -that- just don't know what to think

but at any rate- not a decoy- its sheer run like heel

at a base level- fight or flight- (some feeze- which i think gets you hurt) but then again i have stopped a few times with a guy on my tail and it worked

But i will say this- outnumbered - doomed- i say attack - better than a slow inevitable defeat

it is my experience the Feds need to attack more- this postioning thing may be better in the long run- but Tactical prowess in chess tends to go further then positional play

Lots of feds (even in pugs) do tend to be a bit more feisty these days. Not just lurking by their own zone in point for the entire game.

It'll only fool those with no skills in science abilities and are blind.

The specifics include Hyper Impulse Speed engines , Regnerative or Resiliant shields with whatever beam cover
torpedo hi yeild at tact- plasma tubes fore and aft, plasma beams etc.

But the specifics are exactly not the point

the point is the enemy probably has a faster computer, the enemy probably knows player vs player better than i, the enemy has friends in so far as direct communica', the enemy stocks up on shield and engine and aux and weapon devices, the enemy - one on one- will beat me unless i am lucky

this means devising a way to beat the enemy - with what is at hand- even one on one-
    "how to" tactics are useless

    (except mine)
