gameclient.exe not responding

Game worked perfectly for months, now launcher crashes with black screen (gameclient.exe is not responding). Computer is far above min specs (Dell XPS studio Win 7 64bit, 16 gigs ram, Radeon 5770 video with 4 gigs video ram), super fast cable modem, no changes made to the computer, 2 weeks of tech support help (slow as a glacier with 3 days between responses) with no help form tech support other than to ask for a dxdiag dump, made sure there was no firewalll confict (in fact deleted it all together) and a nettest (all of which were of no value). I have cancelled my account, deleted the game, and am chalking the problem up to an incompatibility between Win 7 (64bit) and the game. Perhaps I'll re-activate in a few months to see if Cryptic has supported this problem that too many people are having yet Cryptic seems not to acknowledge or address. Good luck for those of you persisting to find a solution as I have given up.

Can you post a DXDIAG, and make sure your your security protocols have exceptions made for Star Trek Online.

To create a DXDiag report, follow these steps:

    1. Click "Start" menu, then click "Run"
    2. In the "Open" box, type: DXDiag (hit enter)
    3. If this is your first time running DXDiag, click "Yes" to launch the DirectX Diagnostic Tool.
    4. Click "Save All Information" to create a DXDiag report.
    5. Choose a name and location for the dump file (recommend desktop) and click "Save".
