Please forgive faith but we all have seen far to many post of this nature. The Klingon Carrier is the least of your worries when it comes to pvp. And the alpha strike isn't as bad as it seems to be. The only group that I've faced that runs it to perfection everytime is GoD's A-Team. There are many ways to combat it so read up a little bit and get your team together. In the future a better post would be to ask for assistance because your getting steamrolled by the Klingons?

klingons dont always get first strike, theres been many times i've surprised them with a sensor scan or charged burst and they're the ones who get ambushed. the gripe i have is that even if theyre "forced" to decloak they get their attack bonus... -shrugs- ah well
i love going against klingon carriers, i use a charged burst when theyre support craft is grouped together then a shockwave to knock them all out at once... doesnt always work but its still fun to watch

You just have to learn to use RSP. As soon as you start to take damage, pop an RSP. Most of the Klingons will swap targets. If possible have two RSPs or if you are in a cruiser a couple of EPtS is a good thing to have too.

unless they have a crafty science klingons or 2 handy for some snb loving, i feel relying only one skill to "save" you is a very bad idea

I'm sorry your feeling a bit steamrolled... heres the deal.
The FvF screen claims its a training mission... FvK is the war.
There are only a handful of regular Klinks... and most of us have been playing longer then you. Play lots read the forums and you will improve.
Trust me the Klinks in no way steamroll every match. I have been in Close matches and I have had my backside handed too me too.
Start with Faithborns guides... and read as much as you can on here. I have a few up on offense, mostly on offense your only going to get vauge answers.
When your playing... PM the klink that handed you your backside, and ask them what they think you could do to improve. Or run an idea past them. I answer questions, and I'm nice if your not calling me a cheat. So are 99% of the players I have played with and against. Ask for help and you will get it.
However know this... if you que FvK you are in for a fight. If you stick it out and are a humble student, you will get better. (its bad news for the kids in the FvF que)

Because knowing how to build and captain a ship in PvP really does make that much of a difference. 5 guys doing the bad ninja thing (come one at a time out of full impulse, carrying no healing skills) can easily lose to a dedicated healer and dps duo.

2 Klinks scream in at full speed... and removed them all in 10 seconds starting with the cruiser that MAY but surely didn't have the ability to heal his teammates.

Three players on the Fed team with a grand total of zero healing was probably more a factor...;)
I don't know what is worse...that they didn't even try to heal themselves when dying over and over or the thought that three guys in there carried no self-heals. :rolleyes:
Better odds for who!? You don't even have to be completely horrible to end up popping out those screen shots when an combination of those guys get you in their sights. I know to expect a vast amount of space dust when I see them on the /who list but some folks just aren't prepared for that level of complete pwnage, lol.

pvp more for the pratice, find a good pvp fleet to join for help and learn to play better.
Even better, make a new toon and start pvping from LtCom and work your way up through the ranks for pratice. Experience is the only thing that you need to become a better pvp'er, because the Dev's can not adjust the game to boost your inexperience to compete with the more experienced Klingon players.
In my FvK C and H matches, it quickly devolves into a ball vs. ball fight anyways, with the klingons generally losing that because half their people are capping. Nearly all feds are locked in that huge melee engagement in the nebula.
Honestly, I could care less whether us feds win or lose that. There's no difference in rewards. Klingons might say "HAHA we won cause we had points left!" To which some feds will counter "HAHA we don't care cause we kicked your tail in that nebula fight!" I can see the arguments both sides might have, but really that just depends person to person. There's no way to distinguish winners and losers from tangible rewards. Meh, I say GG and queue up for the next fight. My winning and losing depends on if I was able to take out that guy or two going after me. Or if I was able to save that teammate with TSS + haz emitters / eng team.
Nobody is listening to a thing i say! You all dont get this, this thread isnt about who wins so dont post about me complaining that i lose. I am complaining because the Klinks win practicaly all the time because of the abilitys they have but the feds don't, this forum is about how unfair it is that they have cloak and figther ships not just for attack but repair as well and feds get zip. so before you start posting about this being a whineing look to see what its about and dont make an idiot of yourself posting about something off topic( mainly you faithborn) only a few of you are on the topic. And dont say how to beat the cloak and fighters because all those abilitys are science ones, dont apply to all captins. feds need their own univeral abilitys like cloaks and figthers or at least their own ones like a repair shuttle or fighter runabout, and our own cloak.

I have had some 1v3 and 1v4 wins vs Feds and Klinks but unfortunately I wasn't the only one in the map.
I was just off in the distance fighting them solo and killed them before going back to my team.

With shield resistances able to get up so high some players no longer use hull heals as the dreaded TSS is now so rare.
I suspect the Feds didn't try very hard here. Those damage numbers are beyond pathetic.
