So, this happens to me about once every hour of play or something (not really predictable).
I'm loading (as in about 10% of the game time, but that's another problem) and suddenly I see a "server is not responding".
Seems it's been going on for a while since I saw several threads about it going as far as beta...
Anyway, not been a report in some time, so here I am. Once again disconnected, very annoying. At least it takes care of my doubts about subscribing after the first month
I run windows 7-32 bit with 4 Gb RAM, an ATI 5870 (without the dynamic lightning since it makes the game crash) and a Core 2 duo 8200.
Every other game runs flawlessly and this is not a network issue, my wife can continue to play her MMO happily. So any word on a bug fix any time soon (for the people just flaming others, it is an old issue) ?
just because one game work and another doesn't does not meean it is not a network issue . each game uses different ports, different ips, different packets configuration. Saying one game works and another doesnt so it must be the games fault is like saying I game get to work taking a left at the intersection but not the right so must be my works place fault.
post the results of the tracert patchserver.crypticstudios.com and the nettest so there are some figures to work with.
Nettest:
Go to http://files.champions-online.com/nettest.exe
Download this file and run it
A command prompt should appear running the test automatically
For good connections, column 1 and 3 have values around 500 kb/sec (outgoing/incoming), column 2 has values around 20 kb/sec (transfer rate). If the values in these columns is less than what is expected you may have filtering or blocked ports either on your personal network or from your ISP.
Your remark about different games might have some interest to it if I didn't count Champions Online amongst them (especially since the test you're linking to is from champions). But hey if all games work and this one doesn't (like for the dynamic lightning of ATI cards), it might be due to bad code. As I said, it is an old issue.
Also bear in mind that I did look at the different threads about this issue and none had troubles about those tests. If I have time I'll try to look into it with the test, but I guess at some point one Dev or tech support guy will take the time to answer as they did not in any thread about this issue that I found.
Also you can give me the usual excuse of the hard to replicate bug, I know how it works. But as I assume the game code is the issue, I understand you assume my competence/logic is the issue.

Can you post a DXDIAG please?
To create a DXDiag report, follow these steps:
1. Click "Start" menu, then click "Run"
2. In the "Open" box, type: DXDiag (hit enter)
3. If this is your first time running DXDiag, click "Yes" to launch the DirectX Diagnostic Tool.
4. Click "Save All Information" to create a DXDiag report.
5. Choose a name and location for the dump file (recommend desktop) and click "Save".
Zip this file and attach it to a post in this thread.
So the nettest showed no problem on any port whatsoever, the Dxdiag is attached as a zip, but ending with .txt thanks to your attachments rules.
You may want to change your forum rules as they only allow .txt of 19.5kb and a Dxdiag is 40; or you could allow for zip files, it would maybe be a bit more logical.

yeah so the dxdiag you uploaded came back as gibberish could you try again? Also can you copy/paste the results of the nettest and trace route?
as I explained in my previous post, due to your attachment rules I cannot attach a zip file; only txt files.
So I attached a zip, but changed the extension to txt instead of zip. You just need to rename the file to dxdiag.zip and unzip it.
For the tracert :
tracert patchserver.crypticstudios.com
