are you sure you want to delete your character?

Hi all. I've been playing for a couple weeks now, and 2 days ago when I went to log in, I was immediate asked if I wanted to delete my character. Of course, I hit no, then it comes right back up asking the same thing. Tried rebooting, no help. Logged in from a friend's computer, no issue. Logged back on from my computer, same problem. I was able to finally get in and play by hitting esc, immediately followed by hitting the play button with the mouse. However, the problems didn't stop there. Once in, while I can play, there are other screwy things going on. When I access my mail, it asks me if I want to mark it as spam, and repeats over and over. If I go into the chat settings, it will add an infinite number of chat windows until I tell it to stop. In space battles, I immediately autofire on the target, even with autofire turned off. Same goes for ground missions too, except it only does it with the weapons secondary ability (which is linked to 2 I believe).

The funny thing is, it seems unlikely that it is a stuck key (at least an alpha-numeric one), because when I go to type in chat, I don't have anything repeating over and over again. I even tried duplicating things on my friend's computer, to see if I could get anything to mimic what is happening on my computer, and I can't. I have tried every letter number, along with every letter and number +shift, +ctrl, and +alt, and with no results. The only reason I can't swap out keyboard to see 100% if that is it or not is because it is a laptop.

So, does anyone know what might be going on here? Thanks in advance.

if your using a laptop keyboard first thing i would suggest is to power it off first then turn it upside down and shake it ,might sound strange but if theres any keys stuck it should release them unless theres something realy sticky holding the keys down or stuck to the keyboard membrane, power it upgain and makesure all the keys work and none appear to be stuck down

if you have any external devices plugged into your laptop ie printer, scanner, webcamera remove them all including mouse if your using one and test, then try with mouse only. if your laptop has infra-red or bluetooth disable the ports
