I would like to see in a future update a Faction Control Point. i would like to see five points. two for the fed and two for the Klingons with on neutral in the middle. then the two faction will fight over the for control starting with taking the middle and getting at most a 9 to 12 hour boost to PvP combat. from there groups or Fleets can try and take the other factions two base. if one faction controls both sides they get a 12-14 hour boost in PvP combat.
one thing i would do is teams fighting for control have a progress bar. if one side knocks out so many defense things you get the base. or it you already control it and the other faction dies so any time then they have to leave.
OR
the other thing would be have some people fight in space while others are on the base (ground) trying to get base defense up and the other faction trying to stop them.
this would add another level of game play and continue to make the game play fun. i would also make this a free for all with NO level requirement.
I think the biggest implementation issue would be the lack of numbers. This would almost assure feds would always have a bonus. If something like this was implemented, it should not affect global pvp. Why should a faction get a zerg bonus?
Let's take Kar'rat as an example. 99% of the time, it's fed dominated. If it was used as a model on how this system would be. Then the sad truth would be even less klinks would be playing.
Take heart, i don't mean to down your thought. It does sound like fun. I don't think it would work in the current state of the game.
