if i try to avoid launcher and start the game client directly log in screen is loading,
i may enter my PW, but then account server is not found...

right before this problem came up i had a game crash...

i´ve read about the nettest so i already let it run:

Try downloading our small installer it will basically repair the launcher if it is having issues,

    i´ve tried...

now - at least - i get the "trying to update launcher. Please be patient."-window...

but just after one try this window closes again and still nothing more happens...

STO is shown as active in taskbar, but simply launcher-window doesnt pop up...
    (no, its not just minimized)

Hurm strange question but what language do you have windows in? Also is your IE up to date? Also make sure work offline on you IE is not checked.

Hurm well the launcher is dependent on IE components. Even though you do not use the browser I would make sure this is up to date.

    IE version is:

    6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158

so now you have to tell me what version would be up to date :D

Looks like IE 6, and we suggest IE 8.

Also if you are using wireless try connecting via a wired connection. Make sure your security protocols have exceptions made for STO, and if you made them in the past remake them. You can also try to bypass your router and connect to your modem.

and i checked that STO is nowhere blocked...

    no difference...

as i said til that gamecrash everything worked fine...

does the launcher not show but itis still show running in the task manager

if so make sure there is no versions of the gameclient or startrekonline running in the task manager then try this

•Launch your Champions/star trek Online Launcher. It will do the whole sit there on taskbar and tray with nothing showing.
•Open up task manager (right click on task bar, select Task manager, or press ctrl+alt+del and select Task manager).
•In task manager, minimize and then maximize said champions/star trek online launcher program through task manager (right click on the champs/star online application in the taskbar list.)

    or download and run this
    http://files.champions-online.com/ShowLauncherWindows.exe
this fixes a condition where the launcher is running but not displayed (it is actually off in some virtual window position)
This will bring the launcher window back to the main screen window position.
