    Hey Zor,
Are you running the T5 hypers with +17 to speed from the 5th order exploration badges?

I tend to use Evasive with Ramming speed for a short super burst of speed. Not sure I have ever used it with Omega. If I could get my Advanced to handle like a Tactical escort ALL of the time I would be in heaven.

No idea, my max speed of my advanced escort is 319 :o And judging by the inertia, it should be more nimble anyway. But since im a noob, and dont know how to screenshot with GUI elements, i cant post it :-))

I learned it not too long ago myself, lol.

More on topic though, I like going fast and some of your escorts run circles around me so clearly I have more work to do...

Although being in a Fleet escort and being able to have 2x +30 to turn in your engineering slots must make that thing turn like a BoP huh?

Ramming speed for short bursts of speed sucks your power levels doesn't it?

The settings I have while attacking drops my shield power to below 50 anyway so when I can get away with my speed/shield power setting it recharges pretty fast. I can get back in the fight pretty fast.

Yep, and its hard coded to 75, so its SLOW. And only fools throw away such valuable offensive tool for running, i will rather kamikaze with ramming speed, than to use it to run. :o

Sure in Capture and Holds, ram the TRIBBLE out em but I won't ram in Arena. Foolish or not it seems to work well for me.

Its only foolish, if you dont take them with you :o But i dont have that dilemma, because im one of the escorts, who trully use Aux to Dampeners,EP-E and APO normally...not just for racing contest :o

Sure speed WITH maneuverability absolutely I hear you there Dal. All I can say is that ramming speed mixed with Evasive has saved my butt time and time again. They can't hit what they can't catch.

Thats fair... I guess it would work to escape... just seems easier to pack an engine bat.

It really is a last ditch effort for me if my RSP and EPtS is cooling down while getting pounded by multiple enemies and nor healers in sight.

I have to apologize to Zor for helping hijack her thread. My bad Zor. I have been running my T4 escort during capture and holds because I can keep my nose on the tail of a target better than my T5 so thank you for the info Zor I will use it to rethink my build.

Ya sorry Zorena... I used to run 2 EPTE on my Fed Tac before the patch. Zoom Zoom I would run my eng power low as it was always jacked by the EPTE. I've been meaning to run a Klink cruiser to try rocking the Dampeners... mabey time to power level an engineer.

Are you all fit for speed for the higher manevuerability or is speed tanking possible? I was under the impression that a bonus dodge/defense cap existed for speed.

I'm happy with just speed and manevuerability for turning quick, but a real ability to speed tank would be cool.

No you cant, there is no difference in defence after 26-7 impulse speed. With the exception of occasional boosts from some abilities. Its just fun to :o

Some buffs do allow you to exceed the cap, actually. But if you are just flying at top speed without them, no matter how fast you can get, you'll reach the cap.
