    if you choose option 2 yes you will lose the time.

    You should try disabeling your firewall first, or at least allowing connections on port 7000 to 7500. Good bet your updater issues wil automagicly disappear when you do that.

    Also, try running the nettest tool from tech help which can be found here (about halfway down) including instructions on how to run it.

    Good bet you'll see ports blocked, open those up and you should be good to go again.

    This is a good plan......its a connection problem not a problem witht he app.

    Tried disabling firewall, doesn't work still.. tried nettest tool has trouble pinging port 80 for some odd reason. I guess i'll have to uninstall the game and just let my subscription run out.

    If you nettest comes back timing out then something could be blocking the communication from those ports. Check your security protocols and make sure they are giving Star Trek the proper permissions. Also you could try making sure that the outgoing TCP communication is open on ports 7000-7499.
