Hi Folks,

Over the last few days I have recruited 4 players into STO. 2 Family members and 2 friends have upgraded the invite key I sent to them and purchased at least one month of STO. When they all signed up, I received a confirmation of their friendship on my master account. I got a 5th person to sign up as well. Same deal, send the key, they type it in, they purchase a CDkey, add it to their account, but I get no friendship request from the 5th person!!!!!

I walked him through the steps to sign up and it still shows my CDkey at not being redeemed. I am very upset by this as it will not give me the Galaxy-X class starship or my Cryptic points.

I have tried to open up a ticket through the help desk system on the website, but it seems I can only open up one in game. The last time I put in a trouble ticket, it was only answered by the automated system and no human ever got back to me.

Is there a cryptic person that I could actually message or speak too about this issue?

    This is a known issue and is being addressed soon.

    Do you mean its a bug once you get to the 5th person (Which I have read all over the forums) or it is a bug that affects that I have 4 people signed up but the 5th person will not register at all?

    There is just an issue all together with the referral system at the moment. Also submit a billing ticket so we can track your issue if it doesn't get fixed when the dev team addresses this (just in case).

    Edit: wait, never mind, I think I thought the 5 people for the OP were "upgraded" status, not "billed," when it seems that they are.

    Shouldn't they fix this BEFORE handing out the $50 gifts?

    The fix is code. The distribution of compensation is not. I know it was done a little backwards but the fix is on its way.

    ive another issue,... the support guy said that my friend only used my key for the demo and then create another account where he add the retailkey... but my friend said that isnt true... and the most curious thing: in my referral list I see him accepted (not billed) but when i click on him he has a ra5 char... hopefully that will be fixed too...
