Server not responding, Disconnects

Hi I just bought this game and it is borderline unplayable.

I have ports 7000-7500, 80 and 433 open (most of these were set up for CO neway). no difference. Changing settings also doesn't affect things.

Pretty frustrating stuff, I feel like I'm burning money here.

edit: It's not my ISP either.

I have had the same issue for months now. It's not every time, but usually I log on, I play for awhile, then I hear crackling from the speakers. I get lag and a server not responding message. It goes away. I can play for a little while then the crackling gets lounder and more frequent. More server not responding messages. I get thrown off the server and my internet connection is hosed and I have to restart. This happened yesterday and all I was doing was buying weapons at the exchange. Boom. Totally unplayable. It sucks. It used to work fine and I've had NO OTHER problems with any game or any program. This is a new high end pc. It's STO!

Sorry to hear that Exyle but it sounds like a different issue than mine.

My internet connection is otherwise perfectly fine, It's only STO that is failing. I log out and play a different MMO flawlessly. Which is a dissapointing thing to be doing on your second day of playing a new MMO :/

just because you can play one mmo does not mean there is not an internet problem on the other. each game uses different ports diffeferent IP , different routings, and different packet configurations.

post the results of a tracert patchserver.crypticstudios.com and a nettest with dxdaig report so we have some fact to work with.
    Nettest:
    Go to http://files.champions-online.com/nettest.exe
Download this file and run it
A command prompt should appear running the test automatically

For good connections, column 1 and 3 have values around 500 kb/sec (outgoing/incoming), column 2 has values around 20 kb/sec (transfer rate). If the values in these columns is less than what is expected you may have filtering or blocked ports either on your personal network or from your ISP
