Thanks to your help, I managed to open the temp directory C:\DOKUME~1\ADMINI~1\LOKALE~1\Temp\
but could not find any file containing "_cryptic". also tried the search mode to go directly for
C:\DOKUME~1\ADMINI~1\LOKALE~1\Temp\__CrypticErrorP kg
but again, unsuccessful.
There are loads of files in this temp directory and i do not know which of them are of any use. Why not deleting them altogehter? Temp files are not very important, are they?
But then, there are other sorts of files in there too...so maybe it`s not a very good idea...
I have the same issue. Every time I try to log on it just freezes. I hope you guys fix it soon.
I am going to reinstall the whole operating system and then trying to reinstall Star Trek Online to make sure there is nothing wrong on my side.

We got someone looking into this for you.
Edit: Try the following.
Go to Start
Select or type Run
Then type %TEMP%
Hit enter
Delete the two files in there starting with "__Cryptic", and that should correct it.
