Tier not being relevant, people I take notice of...

@guapos
@surgery
Sam/Pam and alts
Katana/Kiana and alts
Otto...all versions...meh

Seeing these on the opposite side makes me instantly plan my game and prepare to up it a few notches.
I know I forgot a few, hopefully they will pop in the thread..

    No one does.

If I die a lot then I will complete the die mission faster.

If I kill a lot then I will complete the kill mission faster.

Maybe if ground PvP wasn't so random I would care more. But just now completing the missions is all I care about.

I used to ground pvp A LOT.

Personally I like it so I don't get all the QQ.

Perhaps more immunities need to happen after being CC but meh.

Surgery is probably one of the most pain in the asses on the ground.

    Thirteen is also very good.

No one QQ's on the ground when they lose, they typically rage log after the score hits 15-0

I typically get that sinking feeling immediately upon materializing in the zone.

When you're this bad at ground combat PVP like me, everything hurts.

Haven't played ground in awhile, but the only person who I never liked facing in ground was Surgery.

Surgery is also my very favorite person to team with in ground PvP. I played at least 109 ground patches with him, and we went 109/0 for that duration. I started keeping track of every match about 3 days after he was on my friends list and I realized we'd be grouping together every day - the community was that small at the time (still may be).

Hate to say it but ... the only things I fear in ground combat right now are elite versions of Crimto Lieutenant, Vito'D Commander and Phanoian Captain.

    ;)

Cause if you did, even at RA only, I guarantee someone out there can make you blink.

Not interested at all if you LIKE ground or not, heh.
If I knew where to send it, I would pay real money to have spaceballs ignore ground PvP threads...

I never caught the players name, but in a group of Klingons, he/she was like a midget. Runs and jumps like a maniac but is REALLY REALLY hard to kill..... and somehow I'd always be pitted against this person :D

You tell the good ones from the bad ones.

The bad ones will try frantically to melee spam you and basically do almost nothing else.

    I hate that *******!:D
Almost impossible to kill and so short you can't even see him until he jumps in your face.
Runs with a well constructed team too.

You know of whom I speak :D
Its as you say though, also runs with a good team. I even tried rallying my group together and they killed us and none of them went down!!!

I must say, I'm still noobish with the combat (both space and ground). I need to shift my perception of how to cause damage as well as when/how I heal.

So in summary, that midget handing my @ss to me is making me a (hopefully) better player :D

The advantage of bunny hop in ground pvp is that it gives a bonus to dodge.

    Stupid, but true.

Care to back that up with one shred of documentation or proof? I doubt you can because it's not true. Wrong game.

However, sprinting and rolling do give bonuses. You can read all about them on your character sheet's list of passives.

Until Semtuk and Nene retired, they were the best ground pvp engineers. No one could dodge them. I should get an accolade for being weapons malfunctioned + fuse armored by them 1000 times.

Sad to learn Nene is gone. He was one cool Frenchman who could hold a whole group hostage in a hallway.

It's a bug, been there forever - one of many that went ignored in ground PvP for months and months. Stand still in Otha and have someone switch teams (another bug unfortunately easily exploited) and shoot at you. You'll notice yourself dodge shots and have damage reduced.

Still worked on Tribble leading up to Season 1.2. Haven't tried since. I gave up ground PvP because the number of bugs and exploits that were unaddressed for months could fill the page. It takes almost no effort to find some serious exploits in PvP war zones - just a bit of creativity and time spent with some friends.

Ever wonder why a Klingon carrier can be in Ker'rat and yet not spawn like everyone else when the countdown completes? Another bug that is easy to exploit.

No I will not explain them on the forums, my bug reports have been submitted on Tribble.

    I love ground PVP.

And I die just as fast and as quickly as the next person.

But I'm not afraid of it.

Because I know that the tables can be turned. Circumstances, variable, they can be turned in my favor. And I can kill that opponent fast or easily. It happens. It's part of the thrill and the fun.

I respect many many players. I tip my hat to players with skill.

But I FEAR the crimto, vito'd and phanoians ... because unlike a player character ... on elite, I can't do anything about them that's even remotely effective when that certain instakill cluster comes up. We all know the one. The one that rips through your shields like they're not there. The one with the horribly placed decimal that does too much damage due to the setting change. And the one with 2 lt's and a commander or 2 lt's a commander and a captain.

That's not something I can turn the tables on.

That makes me afraid. Very very afraid if I were Gina Davis.

    ;)

Fellow player characters just get my respect. Sometimes grudging respect. But respect nonetheless.

    :)

On a sidenote ... short, dark skinned, funnily named characters created solely to be "difficult" in ground PVP ... can be tab-targeted ... and fired at. It's just all part of the process. The jumping makes them easier to target.

    ;)

I only do ground pvp on my Klingon Science N'Taram as a full healer. I can generally tank damage indefinitely these days from numerous people. Hence why i do not fear anyone.

    Pairadockers..
Very kind -and flattering- of you to even remember me, much less include me with such talent! Yes.. I can think of a few people who make me nervous.. any of the people that regularly group with me and any FS. And, of course, you. I sincerely do not like seeing you on the other side. Really tho.. there are so many.

DKev and Roach.. I might be the one you're talking about.. the midget running and jumping like a maniac and such with a bat'leth. I had no idea I had that effect on people.. well.. aside from the name-calling and such that I receive.. on an almost daily basis. Next time we meet, let me know who you are, since you didnt include toon names, that I saw.. and we can hone our skills together :)

Also.. you are right that the team I regularly find myself in is full of very skilled players.. Katana/Kiana and alts, Cassidy and alts, Ebola and alts, Lumpa and alts,, and @Crugnac, iirc.. yes, Im naming names... its high time they were mentioned. I ride on their coat tails.. every single match.

    Otto.

ps.. I dont make short toons to be "difficult" in pvp. I make them for the comedic effect. For some reason.. theres alot of hate out there for midgets. :o

It was like being attacked by a very angry keebler elf with wild hair and red skin. Always coming up under my line of sight. :D
