Who's that guy...

Come on, we've all been there, some games its just a momentary thing, but as you PVP more and more you build relationships...not all friendships are grown through teaming and destroying the enemy...some are born in the heat of battle. These relationships are not forged on friendship and flowers but from more nefarious origins, mutual respect for each others skills in killing each other and each others team mates.

This post i wanna give a shout out to those players that have found such an enjoyable opponent, each game you smile cause its gonna be a dirty street bawling game.So just give a brief history; why the mutual animosity or camaraderie for your fellow opponent:)?

For me it would probably be a Klingon named Ch'kok. For those of you who have seen him in game, he can be a terror to deal with. My first few encounters fed side told me to beware of this guy. Opening up and destroying me in seconds. As I learned how to play better I started to understand the opening combos and how to (hopefully) avoid them. I would say he was my first true experience of RA5 PVP and since then we've been gunning for each other. Without a doubt he made me a better player.

What i find most fascinating is that as i got more experienced, we fought he won, we fought i won, it had turned into more of a kind of friendship, talking in between kills...it became more based on a general acceptance of each others skills. A different kind of friendship but one I find offers a glimmer of hope for this game. Well for those who've found your nemesis...list em here^^.

My earliest days in pvp it was a similar experience with me as well...except that the person was Mesome...he and i would constantly duke it out all over pvp maps...good times. WE eventually started talking outside the matches and have become decent friends since...we still love the opportunity to duke it out from time to time.

My acrh enemy is definitley a fed named Sompek. I remember first fighting him, he is one slippery fed. I would get so frustrated becauase i could not catch him and then I would exchange some heated words, that is how our frienemy relationship started. He has definitley taught me some tricks that i employ daily(like how to get away quick and how to catch enemies who are trying to get away). I know that whenever i see him in a match i have to stop whatever i'm doing and go str8 after him, or else i will be the cloud of debris. When i fight him now i do not get frustrated, even if its me thats destroyed, because of the respect we have for each others skills, it makes the game fun and worth playing. I wish that i had more of these relationships with enemies. When i see him i smile and I know the game just got interesting. the people i hate to fight the most are the always the ones that teach me how to be a better player. so for all those people (including myself) who quit a match because they are losing, its probably a good idea to stick around and keep fighting those people who just kick the TRIBBLE out of you becuase you will learn new skills and how to defend yourself better. So thank you Sompek, Era, Richochett, Daizen, Zorena and others for making me a better player and for challanging my skills to the max . Now leave me alone and stop killing me =). lol

After every hard fought battle with these guys I feel like I've found a better way of playing my escort. Sure as hell respect them.

Not sure if it goes both ways... but... Surgery.
Awesome Carrier to fight against, awesome ground PVP, just over and over and over and it's still exciting. Ranked together from Commander to Rear Admiral. The Klingon empire has some mighty warriors.

Well, my "nemesis" will almost change from week to week (if not day to day) depending upon who I happen to run into during any extended session of PvP queuing, or which character I happen to be playing at the time. I can certainly agree with the previous posters though, as I had a blast during some duels with Vlad Dracula last night :)

I will take a look at some of my records when I get home, as I am sure I will see some names in there that will recall the memories of great battles...
