What do you think about adding the Ability to roll the ship upside down for a more realistic Experience?
Trouble is, using the current system, it'd be implemented as a Science Officer power, with a 30-second damage debuff...
I still don't get why universal starship operations like targeting an enemy subsystem, or a firing a tachyon burst (not beam!!), are limited to being officer-specific abilities that are arbitrarily designated to a division - it doesn't make any sense, and in no way reflects the way things work on the shows.
It's all part of the underlying problem that's really starting to undermine my enjoyment of this game - what point is there in making a Star Trek game, if the gameplay doesn't really look, feel or play like Star Trek?
They say that they didn't implement full 3D because a large portion of the fanbase would have the spacial skills to handle it, but Its clearly a balance issue: One of the major things about shield facings is that if one goes down, its a fairly lengthy/effort involved affair to maneuver it away from the enemy. If you could just roll or do a loop, it would be really easy to present a stronger facing.
