While I had 2 PC's locked into a non responsive game I made a new one so I would have something to do. Well I got him to LT3 before the game froze up on him. All I did was a normal transit from the system next to Sol Base into Sol Base. Then the game froze up on him. I check and after 5 days that PC he was released from Limb and the other one was released after being out of play for 2-3 days. Which I'm gratful for their return. But I wonder how long before the new guy is put back into the game. I don't know what y'all do to return the PC's into play. But U need to make that a regular thing. Like every few min' or so, across the entire game. I know I've done Nothing wrong. But there is something WRONG with your program, when this happens OVER and Over again, Day after day. I wise their was another place to go to to retrain low level bridge officer and whatever else so I'd Never have to return to Sol Base again. So maybe Y'all can Split Sol's stuff with another place or something.
I'm getting or already burned out on this game for the simple reason being constanly locked in a no response game so are other people. One other thought. If U turned of all the things the computer shows off at the bottom of the picture while in transition to Sol base it might help stop the freeze up on the game as well.
1) Please remember to use the [ENTER] key. It's much easier to read text that's broken up into what we on Earth call paragraphs.
2) Since it appears that you're trying to report a bug you should have posted in the Gameplay Bugs forum or in the PC & Technical Issues forum.
3) Feel free to file an in game bug report. Just don't expect it to ever be responded to.
4) Many thousands of people are able to play STO without issue. So the problem might be on your end. Old graphics drivers, hardware or ISP problem, etc. My point is that if you do not know what the problem is then automatically assuming that it's Cryptic's fault doesn't make sense.
Moved to the PC & Technical Issues forum, as you're more likely to receive help in this location. It may help to explain what exactly is happening, what locations cause it, etc.
Something like:
* About 1 out of 5 times I load Sol Starbase, my computer freezes up for about 3 minutes.
Without seeing what system you have, or what, specifically your computer is doing, I only have one piece of advice:
Turn off (or at least down) shadows and lighting effects. They are both very processor intensive and having them at a medium to high setting can cause your machine to take a long time to load and/or freeze on the loading screen into congested areas like the Sol system.
The general fix is to lower your world detail settings to ~50-75%. That almost always fixes it. The working theory is there is a race condition somewhere in the shader loading that only manifests when a large number of people are around.

Attaching a DxDiag may also help.
