Forum login not saving

This just started happening last day or so , every time I visit forums or website I'm not logged in. I have tried deleting the cookie(s) and recreating them by logging in , checking the box to remember me and closing firefox.

The login used to be at the top right of the screen but now seems to have an additional block further down to log in , the checkbox has also disappeared from the top of the screen.

Pretty annoying considering this has worked since pre beta days with only an occasional login required

Do you know if you have the "Clear history when Firefox closes" option checked in Tools/options/Privacy?

I had a problem withthe forum not remembering me when I connect. What I tryed all the cache delete readd, and everything I could think of but no deal. What worked for me was going to the main site. Log in to my account as if I was going to change something on the account. Select the remember me at the account login when I logged in. then the forum was able to remember me everytime I went to the forum.

Have the clear history option checked although the cookie option is not, however seem to have cured it by logging onto the main site and checking the box it has now allowed me to open the website without having to log in

I've been getting hit with this, too... Firefox, Opera, Safari, and IE. I never mentioned it because I honestly figured the site admins had just disabled it as a security issue (since the forum login also logs me in to the main site, account and all) and never removed the check box.

Would be nice to see "remember me" working, though.

Lucky you! IE 8 on Win7 won't even stay logged into the main site that way...every time I try, the next time I go to the main site, it wants me to log in.

Same here! And this was reported months ago, by the way. :)

If I close the browser and re-open it, I have to log back in.

I just had a thought...on both systems with IE 8, I have enabled the Compatibility View, so that it will show the full name of the thread when I hover over it...

The difference is, I enabled it on the WinXP machine after I had set it to 'Remember Me' and logged in, and I believe I set it before I did the same on the Win7 machine...could that be the difference, perhaps?
