How can one Cloacked bird of prey hold a point against multiple feds?

Six federation ships just sitting at a point and can't even take it because a single BOP is sitting next to it, I'm running around in my science vessel with full AUX and using sensor scan and finally give up after 10 minutes of looking for him.

If there are more ships at a point contesting then they should flip the point, or making cloaking in a point only available for a certain time or something, it's really just ridiculous.

A vessel has to be uncloaked to participate in capturing a point. Has this changed?

If it's cloaked, it's not contributing to capture of a point or holding the point.

You probably just hit a bugged point. Happens from time to time.

theres a few places you can hide a ship from view. that huge starbase, for example. Theres a small space to move inside the starbase, right next to the node. Don't forget to scroll out your map to view a larger area. Why the frack is the normal default view so small on the UI map, anyways?

Props to a newbie for knowing how to search for a cloaked ship. Pity that you just ran into one of a thousand annoying bugs in the game. As said before, you can't capture or hold anything while cloaked.

I was trying to capture a point today and was waiting next to it for ages and I mean ages... But for some reason I couldn't take it so I left. As I got 10-15km away a klingon cruiser uncloaked and took it. There must be a bug where cloaked ships can hold a point sometimes. I've seen this multiple times and heard of it happening even more.

I've been the BoP sitting decloaked at a point for what seemed like forever and it didn't turn then either until I left and the next person came along. That being said, I've been in a Cap and Hold where the Klinks took everything and the score didn't move. So we stayed away from the points until the Feds got us down pretty low then reclaimed some and the score moved again. It was odd...

No, what happens is that one side can't capture the point, but the other side can easily. He was probably no where near you when you left the point. I have never seen a cloaked ship capture a point. Ever.

Old bug, happens once in a while.

No it has not changed. A cloaked BoP can not hold or capture a point in PvP. They must be uncloaked and remain uncloaked. The OP hit a bugged hold-point in a pvp match and assumed the worst case scenario. Poor Klinks always getting blamed for everything.

The only time a Klink is cloaked at a spawn point with you is when their waiting for it to turn... so the feds will leave, one lone sheep always seems to stay behind. :>
