i created my account online, downloaded the game and now when i click on the desktop icon to lauch the game, nothing happens. i don't get a screen or an error code, nothing. Only thing i can see is that when i hit windows task manager i can see Star Trek Online looks like it is doing something and it takes up all my computer memory whatever it is. I have to end process to get online and navigate around or its like having realy slow dial up.
I have turned off windows firewall, opened some ports on my router and have tryed the netts test to ping the ports that are used. Everything looks normal. I ran a DXDiag and sent it in and everything looked fine. I have been playing service ticket email tag for the last 5 days trying to figure this thing out which i figured could be done in 15 to 20 minutes if i could talk to someone on the phone.......which considering this is a MMO where they want you to pay a monthly fee to play doesn't sound unreasonable does it. Where not talking about a one time pay and play game here.
Im tired of the generic response of check your firewalls and bs that takes a support person 15 seconds to say and then paste a bunch of generic responses to it.
Maybe it is my computer doing something to block it, i don't know what it is but it would be nice to talk to s support perons on how to fix it. I mean a company wants $15 per month plus the initial $39 or $49 to play, thats how much recurring revenue per month..10k people per month would give them 150k per month income. 50k subscriber make them 750k per month.....can they not afford at least a crew of phone people to help those that need it............
Either way if i can't even get the demo to work ....then whats the point of buying the real game and paying the monthly fee.

Launch your Champions/star trek Online Launcher. It will do the whole sit there on taskbar and tray with nothing showing.
Open up task manager (right click on task bar, select Task manager, or press ctrl+alt+del and select Task manager).
In task manager, minimize and then maximize said champions/star trek online launcher program through task manager (right click on the champs/star online application in the taskbar list.)

I can run the game with moderate graphics on my GeForce7300LE, and have never had problems with getting the client to launch.

The bigger point isn't will it run or not, it's that we do not support that card for the game. This means that if you do not meet the minimum system requirements we cannot guarantee that the game will function correctly, and in turn cannot trouble shoot your issue.
I also spend the time to create and account and download the game to try the demo and it ends at the launcher. Saying SERVER DOWN, Account Error contact Billing....
I followed the steps listed for setup (as unclear as they where), tried to look for help which also is hard to find (resualting in me on this forum), and tried opening a ticket, which doesnt let me do anything after I select Billing or Tech issue.
whats the point of putting out a demo that doesnt work? If its to show me not to waste any more time with this product, consider your self successful.
