Feds a Fickle bunch

Was having a pretty good time, didn't even say a word during a match. Hell I normally don't say anything in chat.

After the game, i like to send a few tells to people who I thought fought well

/tell Name@Name nice flying, you put the hurt on for sure

@Name is ignoring you

Don't even know who this person was, can only assume cause i out damaged him he put me on ignore.

Not the first Fed to do it either..

Usually it's a ninja thing. They'll send me something nasty and flip to ignore so I can't respond.

It's getting kinda humorous :)

I guess what ever helps them sleep at night

Was this even worth a thread?

On the basis of one guy ignoring you, you disrespect the whole of the federation faction players.

How do you know he aint someone like me who plays boths sides about equal? Change the title to "Some players a bit fickle".

Sorry, obvious I can only speak from my experiance.

Which is 3/4 Klingon (3 BG5 and 1 RA5). Haven't found a klink who has me on ignore yet. However, maybe it's cause when i do well on my fed I don't get tells about how OP I was, etc..

I get simular, great flying, awesome fight tells.

You can't put player names in your post, it's against the forum rules. Though yeah, some players are odd balls.

These days I'm afraid to PvP sometimes. Been a while now that Fed players send tells to me and some of my buds I sometimes group up with that we're a bunch of a-holes, hackers, ... well you know what kind of tells.

I really appreciate it when someone gives me a pad on the back after a nice fight, but tells like that boil my blood. Even funnier is that I've caught a lot of those insulting buggers crying and whining on the forums here that everything needs to be nerfed. Well to be more precise, most posts come from them. Sad and even pathetic that Cryptic listens to them isn't it?

agreed, I wasn't directly involved, but was in Cracked.

This person in zone (a fed), exclaimed! "This is insane, how can a BoP take so much dmg.."

His total damage in the whole game 50k

I've seen Feds doing less that 30K damage every game. Especially one comes to mind, that keeps running as soon as he gets hit. he's always around the 20K mark actually.

Odd fed behavior in general lately. I ran into few today in cracked that just ran circles around the thing... untill I declocked then they changed directions. (and least I think thats what they where trying to do before they popped).

    Maybe you spooked them :)

Think someone said the cracked planet is haunted with the souls of Klingons.

Never been ignored, but I remember a Klingon team that started shouting insults when they were losing.

I don't take that as typical Klingon behavior, though. That team didn't work well together at all. While we did. Even though we were PuGs and all... I figure since this was like Tier 2 or Tier 3, they were new to the game and still learning...

I could only imagine what they were saying :) I;ve seen my share of comments about play styles in chat.

Some of the classic moronic/narcissistic ones.

I would of killed you 1v1 (what part of the game is 1v1) (I'm sure Custer thought to himself, i could of beat those indians 1v1)

All the feds do is ball up (great, now since the obvious is out the way, what we going to do about it)

Why did you run, [insert naughty word] (most of the time, I don't see a true runner. I see a tactical retreat, maybe to refresh cooldowns or to get away from a 3v1 encounter.)

Think I only have 1 actual person on my ignore list. And thats only because I couldn't be bothered arguing with them (when they open up with f***ing coward* because I got bored with fighting them in Kerrat and my daily was done).

And even then I'll probably take em off when I log in later, need those ignore slots for goldspammers.

One thing I do like about war zone, is it is much easier to do duels :) But like you, just want to get my 3 done and get out. 3 BG5 and RA5, dailies take me all day (least playable time)

You still get goldspam? I haven't gotten any in a long long time.

This is funny....if you cant average 120k per match then something is wrong with the status quo

Yeah, me too. But I am a Captain in the KDF now so hopefully I will be getting more leet scores with 3 disrupter cannons and a dual beam up front.

ofc, I get over 100k with Blenda every time, but she is an RA5, but I am too fickle to play her much now.

oh, that's an easy trick I learned how to do that a long time ago.

Uncloak last, let the others eat the shields, they don't count towards your damage figures. It also means you don't get targetted so much, a dead player isn't doing any damage. Also always go for cruisers they have most hull, never science ships they use shields.

Never heal your team mates, if they die, they are less of a threat to you coming top of the damage. But encourage your team mates to heal and push up their aux and shield power. Less power to weapons means less damage from them.

It is lucky that I don't place much importance on the damage figure. The difference between the plus and the minus figures is how I judge if I have had a good fight.

Ah I think the twitchy little chappy's name begins with L and ends with ex and he runs if you sneeze on him.

and all I wanted to do was give him a hug...

lol... maybe he's roleplaying? I mean, if you watch the shows, the Feds kinda do that a lot. :)

...You've never fought against Wrath, have you?

Do people these days even bother to check who they're talking about before doing a crappy job at trying to generalize people? Not paying attention to who you're trying to stereotype as a typical bad STO player will only make you look like a TRIBBLE (Keldor comes to mind recently) in the eyes of players who actually fought against or with them and actually know how they really fly like.

Sorry, but I am posting in a thread where the OP started off by doing "a crappy job at trying to generalize
people". So I thought that it was an ok thing to do.

I would like to add, my little cupcake, that I am deeply sorry for any offence that I caused when I implied that the object of your fanboy adoration would in any way use the tactics that I outlined in my post.

I wish I would of read Blenda's post much earlier in my STO life. I would of seen the true light of being a Jedi instead of being the pawn for thier epeen.

I thought it was a funny read. Though I couldn't tell who was being talked about.

So help a slow mInd, was it directed at Wrath?
