- Auxiliary Subsystem will now provide resistance to hull damage in the same way as Shield Subsystem provides resistance to shield damage. 100 auxiliary will offer 20% hull resist.
- Whenever a Subsystem is disabled(not drained), the other 3 subsystem gets the overflow of unused power.
I like the idea of making all 4 power levels equally important and right now there just aren't many situations where auxiliary power is seriously considered. I thought I'd heard that Auxiliary was at one point or another involved in crew and hull regeneration but I either made that up or it has no significant effect. I think the resist rate is a good idea and increases the importance of power management.
Why pump excess power into a disabled system? Redirecting it to the other 3 makes sense to me. Of course, I don't really agree with a 25% minimum to all systems either. I wonder what it would it do to the game if people could sit with Weapons and Shields at 100% but with Engines and Auxiliary at 0% or 5%?
Not that I doubt you, but could you link the dev post? Or was this observed by monitoring your resistance levels while adjusting your AUX power in tibble?

It's a wishlist not-so-cleverly disguised as a fake patch note. These changes are not real, only proposed by the OP, who is not a dev.

Man that sucks. I was one of a few people to seemingly independently come up with the idea about AUX and hull resistance too, so I was kinda stoked about it coming to fruition.

It would just be nice to see, considering they took out turn rate from auxiliary system.
And many times during Star Trek series, auxiliary was used to boost the hull.
