I'm tired of converting .tga to .jpg - why can't the screenshots be one format?

Like the title says, I'm tired of converting. Screenshots used to just show up in .jpg, from all the way back in closed beta, then several months ago they started showing as some tga and some jpg. Can this be fixed?

.tga is a much more efficient format that retains image quality much better. Why do you want .jpg?

I know what .tga is, mentioned converting it, I have .tga viewing/converting programs.:)

I want my .jpgs because I want to see them when Iook in my library in windows without having to use another program to view them even though I have one. I'm playing at 1920x1200 and my screenshots look fine in jpg for what I want them for. My main problem is that I don't get why sometimes they are .jpg and sometimes .tga and I've seen others ask about it before.

Printscreen should save a .jpg, holding alt and hitting printscreen should save it as .tga. That's how it works on my machine, haven't looked for options to mess it up.

You can use a converter program called Infraview. It can convert any pic format to whatever you want.

There are 4 commands, /screenshot, /screenshot_jpg, /screenshot_ui, /screenshot_ui_jpg. The _jpg versions save in JPEG and the others in TGA.

I've noticed actually all mine save as JPGs except if you hit PrtScrn in a cut scene (like the warp out mini-scene) and that saves in TGA. It's a bit of a strange niggle that one :)

Xfire is another solution and a nice way to archive and show screenshots to your friends.

Still wish we had a star trek online and a champions online character area on our xfire profiles. Wow gets too much attention.

Xfire is junk, and so was the Terran Federation, Vanu Sovereignty FTW!
