Can't access the Tribble Server

I signed up for the Tribble Server last night and now I can't access it. I don't even see a button on my launcher. Help please?

Tribble is not currently running (probably down for an update) so it isn't visible in the UI.

Any idea when it will be back up? Is there something I could do on my end?

Tribble is down while they apply a patch to fix the broke healing skills. It'll be back up as soon as they can get it back up.

Updates to Tribble generally come "whenever they are ready" and take as long as they take. We play a little more fast and loose with patches there to try and keep you guys as close to "current" as possible. The downside is that we don't usually wait to schedule the downtime etc etc. Can't win 'em all I guess.

This a kick in the pants isn't it? The advertised hours that the Devs were going to be on the Tribble Server, and Tribble happens to be down. I smell false advertising.

    And I smell QQing.

There was a nasty bug in the healing skills that needed to be fixed. That's what they're patching.

Please cool it with the conspiracy theories.

The devs said they wanted to fix the healing skills that they accidentally broke with the last patch. They wanted them working right before the big PvP event. Considering that they only learned about the broke skills this morning here on the forums I'd say that's a pretty fast fix.

    Wouldn't you?

Edit: Geez! I swear you people would complain if Cryptic sent you free beer and hookers.

True, but I was trying to be funny. I swear comedy is becoming a dying artform. Also, you need to plan ahead for these things. My false advertisement statement stands.

Sorry. You know that sarcasm doesn't come through well on the internet. I can't hear your tone of voice or see your face.

And considering the manner of many posters on this forum it didn't even occur to me that you weren't serious.

    /QQ

Its fast approaching one in the morning here. Though I planned a late nighter, I did not plan an all nighter! Nice of Cryptic to want to fix things, but doing so at the time of an advertised event is just plain bad planning and bad publicity. Especially when it is such a bad time for non Cryptic time zone peeps.

    /End QQ

Beer and Hookers? Really :) well the beer at least. :) Send it here Cryptic!

Wadda ya know - Tribble is back - just after I posted! :)

I also wouldn't mind the free beer and hookers.:) I may not be a Cryptic employee or a game programmer, but you would think that one could forsee a problem with a few simple lines of code. I think I will post some Hitler in the Ten Foward section now.:D

Are you by chance using any of the proxy options?

Can you do me a favor and post results of a nettest? The link below is where the tool is located.

Sorry about that. Yeah that nettest is not very healthy, and it appears that your net traffic may be getting filtered. Check your security protocols and make sure that you have exceptions made for STO.

    Thanks for the replies.:)

I removed the: perframesleep 10 from the options line and BAM I can now access Tribble. I just did it for giggles because I had tried everything else. But for future references anybody else having this problem make sure you do not have anything in the options line. I figured it had to be something stupid.

    Thanks Again

Well still you nettest results show some fishy-ness, are you on a wireless network by chance?
