I don't know of any major server performance issues we are tracking. Do you have a repro case? Note that it isn't server lag if you are the only one on the server instance that is lagging.
Explain to me how the game can stutter with an 5870 card at 100fps in low settings.
Thats why i have 200-300ping that sometimes go up to 900-1000.
nettest gives about all values 600kb/s in 1 and 3 column. in the second i have like 24kb/s something
The idle was 1kb/s in 1 column and in 3 0 kb
at 24mb/s internetspeed this should not be. It's no difference if i go with proxy or without proxy.
I've canceled my account because i dont thing buying a game with serious flaws should encouraged to
this is the only game that gives me problem out of all other games i have.
I know I had major issues on a certain internet connection. My FPS was fine and nettest gave good results. I was able to fix this by going through one of the proxy servers in the launcher options.
I tried eu proxy, US proxy and without proxy. Same ping on all options. I really like the game but it's really bad there is this lag. I know i'm not alone.
It ruins the game experience and makes it less fun.
What other programs are you running in the background? Are you running anything else that would be using your internet connection at the same time? Instant messaging? Voice Chat? File sharing?
Nope, have tried to disable all programs exept vital systemprocesses that is required for windows 7 to be working. Otherwise I cant get rid of the bad ping. What ruins the gameplay is the stuttery feeling when characters jump forward.
I've tried WoW also a mmo and Lord of the rings online. all of those games work great. no problem at all.

1. Looks like you have a network issue - probably a router or two that are saturated or are going bad or need to be reset.
2. Your "internetspeed" has nothing to do with ping, it is the size of your pipe, how much data you can theoretically transfer in one second. This is only the advertised speed and is not guaranteed by your ISP. Your actual DL speed will vary, some times more, most times less than advertised.
3. Cancelling your account is your choice, but you should have made sure you were cancelling for the right reason, and it looks like you cancelled in the heat of moment. There is nothing wrong, in my opinion, with STO at least not the issues you claim.
Each game goes to different servers, following different routes taking different machines, so it is very possible to have very different results for different games.
Get Ping Plotter, learn to use it and read it, this program will let you see the route your data packets take and to identify if your connection is the problem.
Since you posted in a tech support forum you are looking for some help; you should provide the technical specifications of your system such as CPU, MB, FSB, RAM, chipset, BIOS version, driver versions (Video, chipset, etc) video card, cooling, etc. You have a decent video card, but if in a weak system you will get poor performance.
Oh yes, forgot to ask, what AV program do you run, when was the last time you performed a full system scan,is the AV program uptodate? What about Trojans, Malware, Adware, and all that other nasty stuff? What security precautions are you running? Norton, Spyware Doctor, Game Booster, Registry Mechanic, other programs of these types?
My motherboard is a PT6D Deluxe and is from the IntelSocket 1366 series latest Bios update and chipset drivers.
Got an Corsair 1000W Powersupply
3- /2 Gb = 6Gb corsair extreme memory 1600mhz Memory is checked with 86 for 8 hours, no faulties.
Icore 920 @ 4Ghz using 200Blc@1.30v
Norton antivirus, updated and no found viruses
Downloadspeed from my internetprovider is 13,28 Mbit/s

Wait you are in Sweden and are complaining about a 300 ping to a server based on the West coast of the USA? That is a good ping going to a West coast server, the reason wow and lotro work for you is because they have european servers where as sto uses a single cluster.
I presume this "http://www.bredbandskollen.se/" is a ping program. Their website is in Swedish, I think and I do not read Swedish nor does it have pictures of what it does.. If it is a Ping Plotter type program, set it to show all hops, set ping for 1 per second and let it run for 1 minute. Hopefully, it has a graphical output that will show you each hop in the route and the maximum, minimum and average ping and packet loss if any for each hop. You will be looking for a hop or hops that have high averages, high maximums, packet loss, and or wild swings in ping times.
Now, since all STO server(s) are here in the US, Boston Massachusetts I believe, and for the other games you may connect to servers in Europe, the STO pings will be higher and will have a higher maximum - Trans-Atlantic cable and all, hope the route is not satellite.
Now, what you can do when you find the hop that is causing your problems? Absolutely nothing, except live with it, unless it belongs to your ISP. What good will all this work do you? Nothing, but at least you will know if it is the game or the route causing your problems. If it is the route it will get better sometime. However, your will know if resubscribing is going to be worth it.
Good luck.
Below is a text dump of a short ping to Startreakonline.com
lines 1 and 2 are my computer and router, the rest are the routers for the path, while the "sample information" are the actual pings from my computer to startrekonline.com. As you can see hop 6 is a problem for me; high maximum pings and wild swings. This is the stuff you would be looking for
I have removed information for hops 1 and 3, privacy and all....

I've never had any problems with stuttering. And that's including cap and hold matches with multiple carriers launching fighters constantly. On max settings. (Nvidia GeForce 8800GTS, Athlon Quad, 7Gbs DDR3... in all fairness, my card should give me the occasional stuttering, but doesn't. So as far as I can tell, the code is rock solid.)
Also, your video card is has no bearing whatsoever regarding your ping times to the server. It has to be a network bottleneck somewhere between you and STO.
Have you got an nvidia card ? if you have then go into the nvidia control panel and under 3d settings there is a setting for pre-rendered frames set that too 0.
I had the same issue with stuttering when I changed that setting it worked.
Wish you had netgraph running from the start of the video. Looks more like a network issue. Your ping seems a little high and it is very erratic, Did notice a little hitching at the beginning, but it did not look to bad.
OK the issue still remains you live 9 time zones over from where the server is located. I just did a speed test with your link you provided and I get a 150 ping and I am on the east coast of the US. I have a 20mb connection at that. It is really not all that unreasonable to have a 300 ping to a west coast server from Sweden remember it has to cross the atlantic and there are bottle necks.

FPS measurement is not that significant.
Then I guess there's no point explaining. Looks like this is just an "I quit" thread - lock incoming?

Never had any problems with EVE online. When i tried the 10 day trial it worked like charm

I have an nvidia card (GTX 285) no lag problems from day one......even in beta....no lag.
I don't think its the app probably your machine or drivers.
Yup, no framerate or server problems there. Since you're quitting, no point figuring out what's going on.
Use www.startrekonline.com, it is the website, but it is co-located with the games server(s)

Netgraph shops that kind of ping for me all the time, when the ping goes up to above 200 it hitches.
