this is getting very funny NOT am getting server not responding everytime i log on im not happy because i pay my money to play and can are you going to refund me my money you need to get you ****ing **** to gether because i will leave it this type of **** keeps happening
This keeps happening too to me and my friend from north europe area. I can stay logged on ingame about 5-10 sec and then i loose connection to server.I I lost big fleet battle but and its shames a bit, but i would like to see this fixed too quick. Good lucks to SWO engineers to repair this prop quick.

The day of this patch is when I started getting server diconnects. Something about that patch has caused at least 5 dc's a day and over 15 server disconnects today. I am to the point I am sorry I did a 12 month sub.

Hai,
you are not alone, i have the same disconnects since the 1.1 Patch.
I can run both Instances, Tribble and Holodek at the same time. But if i get an disconnect, i was always disconnected from one Server, where i try to change the Instance. The other Server keep the Connection, until i try to chance the Instance. But i never loose the connection on booth Server at the same time. So it can´t be a problem with the ISP. I think, there is a Problem with the Instance handling and Timesettings for Server Timeout.
Same problem here in Oregon USA. Just bought the game yesterday and I have been able to get in a total of 2 times for about 15 minutes each time. Tried about 25 times all morning. Seems when it goes between loads is when I get server disconnects or after character selection. Glad I only got the monthly plan and only paid $30 for the game.
I'm guessing it's server problems on the game side? I was able to play again for 10 minutes until I had to warp the server not responding again. Anyone else having this problem?
It is 1:30am where I'm at in Tennessee and I have been getting the Disconnected from server since I received the latest patch this past Thursday. I can play Warbirds and C&C4 Online without any disconnects so it is not my ISP.
Same here, had a previous thread about it. Never had a problem until the new patch. Then all the sudden, DCs left and right.
Also around that time, the demos and such were launched. Maybe it's a bit over capacity? Dunno. I've done the nettest nonsense and I've contacted the NOC of my ISP and bypassed my router and it keeps happening.

Everytime I have tryed to log in, it says "Trying to upload the launcher. Please be patient." It has been trying for 9 straight hours! i am running Windows 7, and I have all the complient hardware and drivers for it. Whats the deal?

If the launcher is not running then there could be a few different things. Try the following:
Running as admin (right click on the icon and select run as admin)
Make sure that your IE is up to date
Make sure you try disabling your security protocols temporally (Anti - virus, Antispyware, Firewalls, Windows defender)
Make sure your firewalls have the proper exceptions made for Star Trek
Try bypassing your router and try running directly from the modem

Your trace route dose look ok, but the statement above indicates ISP filtering or throttling. Try running a nettest prior to this time then after. Then post these results. Have you tried the proxy options in the launcher?
Are there times when you have no connection problems with Star Trek say prior to 3pm and after 12am ?
PDT? I'm not sure what time zone you guys use, but I was online earlier this morning (maybe like 4-6 hours ago) and didn't have any problems. But like I said before, I don't usually have problems connecting. It's probably client-side or ISP throttling, like you suggested.

You can also try the US proxy in the launcher if you having connection issues. This may or may not help, but it is an option.

No, no. I'm not the one having problems. If I were, I probably wouldn't make a badly-written post on the forums like everyone else.
What I'm getting at is that I'm literally the only one in this thread who knows how to run nettest.exe on my computer and paste the output. Computer literacy is inversely proportional to computer problems.
Lets start off with 3 points. Point A is your computer on your internal network. Point B is your ISP and external networks. Point C is our servers. The dashes represent your network traffic and the path it takes.
A
B
As you can see the path from A to B is pretty simple there is very little that can go wrong, but things can still cause issues from A to B.
A -- -- -- B
This is an example of an over protected network which can limit your connectivity. Reducing the amount of barriers or allowing the traffic access through those barriers will help your connection maintain stability.
A
B
C
This would be a healthy connection to our servers.
A
B-- - - - --- --- --- -- - -- C
This would be more of an example of a connection that has had the traffic shaped or throttled by the ISP thus causing instability.
A
B
B2----B3----B4
B5----C
This would be an example of your network traffic being redirected or rerouted by your ISP in turn increasing latency. This would be more common with satellite internet users, or users on the opposite end of the world.
Any of these examples can result in the server not responding errors. Running a Nettest can determine if your ports are being blocked. This can also tell us if your information is being broken down along the way.
Now one of the solutions we do have is the proxy. This will help maintain a connection if your having issues, but it may not work. Trying the proxy is one of the 1st things you should try.
Unfortunately networking is not that simple and there is no way to "fix" the internet. Keep in mind that the internet is just a collection of different networks connected together. If one has problems or issues it can affect an opposing network.

Oh, I'm from Croatia, on a relatively slow 4Mbps/256kbps connection - usually I get server disconnects when all the people from the US (my night hours) start playing.
During the European day, so to speak, all is fine.
Recently we were playing a STF and a guy and me, who live in a 20 km radius got disconnected constantly. It helped to change to the EU Proxy, but it's not always working.
However, in general the game and connection are pretty stable, however when you start getting disconnects it won't stop on one, usually.
Haven't seen this anywhere else so I'll post it here. If you're getting server connection lost it may be an issue with how windows handles your wireless. The game was just about unplayable for me, but I connected a wired connection and now it works fine. Its not a bandwidth issue. I think it may have to do with how windows 7 treats wireless. I'll post more as i get it figured out.
