Suggestions, ground combat/interiors

Ground combat is rather boring. I can pretty much just tap one button and my guy switches targets and keeps firing. My suggestion would be to change ground combat to a straight up first person shooter. You'd get a lot more action and the player would be more involved. Star Trek: Elite Force was a good shooter. You add something like that for ground combat and we have a real winner.

My next suggestion is to shrink ship interiors. Granted i've only played the demo and beta but what does the transporter room need to be the size of a warehouse? The hallways are massive, the bridge full of empty space. Just shrink it all down. As it stands it's nothing like the series/movies.

I don't know what is in game in terms of an auction house. I've heard the game has no economy. But the ferengei offer tons of options for this.

Sector Space is just a mess for me. I just don't get it. Why not just warp to wherever you want? Why this funky sector space GUI? Just seems rather convoluted.

if this was a PvE only, then i would agree, but PvP screws this up. think about, all the PvP characters would be small headed, 3 foot tall aliens.
as for the other points, yeah, i agree. i would like to be able to fly through space, but as it is, i'm just watching my ship go through a holographic map.
this is a good thread for combat ideas:

about the ground combat, I highly doubt it will ever significantly change...as the engine used for this game has alot of limitations apparently.

Id love a smaller Galaxy bridge and interior...the Galaxy bridge in game is huge...I dont like it...a non combat version or something should be made...same with several other bridges.
