just skip any special abilities / equipment you´ve planned for that ship...
its already obvious how many players get upset by these skills,
just for being not available to anyone, even they are not 100%ly confirmed yet or implented at all...
instead make it customizable and let us mix its parts with our existing ships,
just like any c-store-shipskin...
i would prefer that a dozens of times to any "special" abilities or equipment...
This ship needs to be open to anyone... who cares about the skills when no one will really be able to get it. Another stupid move from the devs. If you would make items that users want avalible to them.. they wouldnt have to worry about subscriptions and trying to recruit users.
Nope keep it the WAY it is and keep it EXCLUSIVE. Ive worked my TRIBBLE off for my referals so i deserve my reward, this ship. SOrry if you cant get anyone else to play to get this ship your screwed. Their are plenty of mmo's that offer exclusive things for exclusive deals that only certain people can get. This is a smart marketing move by cryptic. So get your panties out of your TRIBBLE and grow the f up.

maybe you read my post first before you explode?
i havent said anything about the exclusivity...
and im working on getting it myself too...
yes i WANT that ship!
what i talk about is how splitted the comm reacts on giving out special equipment / skills that way...
as far as i remember cryptic wanted to avoid such giveaways in c-store to avoid a two-classes-community...
this is near to it...
so i just said that i would prefer - just me, just my opinion - to give it out without specials and yes still exclusive to referral
and that i would prefer if it would be customizable instead...
so now you have a second chance to react like a grown up
and answer me in correct way...
maybe you even read what ive written completely this time...
Strangely, the Galaxy-X and the method for obtaining one doesn't bother me.
Cryptic made an offer to help sell their game via word of mouth. They're offering a juicy and tempting reward to ensure there's proper enticement. If someone doesn't want the reward or the method of obtaining it seems too challenging, then people should stick by their decision and move on. Asking for it to be changed or sold through other means isn't necessary.
Furthermore, I'm happy to see that the Galaxy-X has unique abilities (even though I can't/wont get one). It opens the door to other ships having special capabilites as well, beyond being just a re-skin.

ok, even i still would prefer it customizable,
i have to agree that this is a good point...
Providing items which affect gameplay by any means other than in-game puts STO squarely in the Runescape and F2P calibre of games. The gangrene in STO has certainly taken hold.
But then again, it's a game based on a TV show ... what did we expect?
Future Cryptic titles:
Gilligan's Island online ... for 500 C-Store credits you get the plans to the seashell radio.
The Munsters Online ... refer 50 suckers and get the hearse dragster.
Bevery Hillbillies Online ... put a Cryptic sign on your lawn and get the exclusive double barrelled possum gun!
While I agree that I wished the Gal X was just a skin with no extra abilities, that is not the way it has been advertised. All the talk on the forums about taking away peoples EXCLUSIVE perks is just wrong. If you wanted the Liberated Borg then you should have bought the LTS. If you want the Gal X go recruit. Otherwise just get over the whole thing and focus on pushing Cryptic for more actual endgame content. Should everything have just been included in the sub price without a C-Store? Possibly, but it isn't.
These stupid threads shouldnt be clogging the board. Post in one of the MANY other threads about the same damn thing.
And by you replying in it, you are just bumping it back to the top of the forum, defeating your own wishes. If you think the forums are "clogged" by this about the same thing, then reply in OTHER threads, which will make the threads you dont like disappear.
Okay, first of all, I'm all for the Galaxy-X getting a special ability for her phaser lance. Setting it as just another fire point for a beam phaser would look silly.
HOWEVER:
1) If one ship gets an extra special ability all have to get one.
2) The same goes for cloak. Either no Federation ship has cloak or they all have. The Galaxy-X from All Good Things had cloak because the Romulan empire had been conquered by the Klingons. In our timeline there's no reason for an exception.

Keep it how it is. I want the abilities that come with it when i get myn. Mkay thanx
Since Cryptic finds POLLs so popular, why not have a player one right here?
thats at least something, thx

Its not "official", but the Devs are paying attention to it.

I'm just sayin ...
Dude! Full of win!
Brady Bunch Online ... pay 250 C-store credits and get the 'Marsha, Marsha, Marsha!' emote.
If you dont like what a thread is about(which is usually obvious from the title), then dont click on it. You have free will, so use it.
