Thanks!

Agreed. And please get someone to place some calendar items for June already! You've only got a couple of weeks of May left. :D

whilst updates and info are always good they're probably too busy improving the game to make a post about improving the game at the moment

The State of the Game should be written by Zinc, not the people working on the nuts and bolts. While I have no doubt that he's also busy in meetings or reformatting TPS cover letters, a couple hours to provide an update would be worth his time in my opinion.

For the most part I agree. I also think Zinc and Jackalope should spend a little more time on the forum to help build morale and quell fears and frustrations.

Not sure. That would only give the QQ'ers something new to pick to pieces and read more into than is acctually said and spam the forums about it. Ring a bell ???

Yeah, I can't wait to hear how they try to spin themselves out of the catastrophe of the last month.

Simply put, unless there are massive changes in leadership (that means managers being replaced) I don't see a turnaround happening any time soon. Better get used to the number of players you have now and try to hang onto them. A good start at that would be to also send the community and marketing people out the door with the managers.

Honestly, I think we just want to know what's going on with the game. The Engineering Reports cover the immediate concerns but it'd be nice to know a little more about plans a little further down the road. It'd also be nice to know a little more about how the game is doing, etc.

Based on join time you've been here all of a week. I don't think you'd have any idea what was going on in the game last month; unless you're someone who was banned and trying to sneak in the back door. :)

Weekly Episodes. any Klingon info, and maybe some some info on the new sector of space?

I'd love to hear about this thread:

    http://forums.startrekonline.com/showthread.php?t=124944

I think that would bring around one of the most substantial changes in the game.

might be going to far into the future but id actually like to hear some long term goals, (stuff well past the season 2 and the romulans)

stuff like open pvp sector block, user generated content, fleet starbases, or if that is something you dont want to go into yet just about anything that not set out in the engineering report. what s planned for august or september. anything really cool on the horizon that we might yet not know about but will get us excited.

How about some official response to the Referral scheme outrage, coupled with the decision to move pretty much any critical post/thread into a dead "feedback" section, where (despite promises to the contrary), there's no active participation from cryptic staff in those areas?

Will Cryptic ever be releasing canon content for the game that you don't have to pay through the nose on top of subscription fees (or bumrush strangers with referral codes) to obtain?

When will new content in general start making it into the game, rather than flooding the C-Store?

What's the thinking behind the sweeping balance changes currently being tested on Tribble? Many people I talk to have the impression that rather than fixing what's broken, you're breaking what actually works.

I agree. I'd like to see something along the lines of a larger, long-term vision, beyond the updates in the ERs. Perhaps user gen content could get a mention, along with other big ideas.

Basically, like the State of the Union: Is the state of game strong? Where are we going from here? What are the biggest priorities moving forward? What will the state of the game look like 6mos to a year?

An honest, reflective, and still visionary address would be reassuring.

    p.s. Thanks!

I want to know what some of the biggest problems or should I say... hurdles that STO Cryptic Devs are facing.

If CBS is giving you any problems... you we could say... get really angry with them.

I'd like to hear about future plans for increasing the functionality of social units (e.g. fleets) within the game. I know you're working on fleet calendars and recruiting, but is this part of a master plan for fleet-oriented content? You guys keep coming out with programs asking me to get my friends to play, I'm asking about a way and a reason for us to play TOGETHER.

Subscriber numbers would be nice too, but not so likely, as this isn't a shareholder meeting.

yes...i want to be mentioned in it.... :)

    but serious:

most will pick at whatever you mention, or quote you for future damnification.
I would like just a basic update really.
i find the ENG reports are good enough, but my largest two are fleet logos (on ships and such) and fleet bases.

    thanks.

oh and whats the deal with the bugs, are you on top of them. do you feel that within a few months we will be bug free (to a certain extent, there will always be bugs) but there just seams to be a lot and every new patch brings up a few more

    1) What can we expect to see in Season 2?

    2) When is CBS going to run STO TV commercials?

    1) Your Art Lead mentioned that the current iteration of sector space was a pet peeve of his and that it would be getting a revamp at some point. Any sort of "lawn dart" estimate on how many months out this may occur? After Season 2? Before Season 3?

    2) Is Season 2 still on track? Are there any surprises included for Season 2 that you haven't mentioned? Wish to mention one or two of them? Or even a hint?

    3) Planetary surface art is simply outstanding, but I always beam out feeling that so much more can be done with the Genesis system. The missions are just too short and simplistic. Care to detail what sort of improvements we may be looking forward to within the Genesis explore missions? More accessible and explorable buildings and villages? Chain style missions? Actual indigenous peopled instead of merely text mentions? Plants that actually do damage rather than just text warnings?

    4) Any plans for shuttle-to-surface missions where beaming is not feasible?

    5) Any plans for environmental suits and damage?

    6) What else can you tell us about the Diplomacy system?

    7) Will The Guardian ever be used for other time travel missions? If so, any hints as to when?

    8) Can I have a pony for Christmas?
