Hello all,

Im finally an Admiral now. I have the enterprise e class ship. Im a scientist. my weapons are all phasers type X and quantum torpedos X also.

Just went into do a mission in borg space only had to destroy 3 borg probs and it took em for ever. Im sorry but this takes the ****. If i was you against a borg cube then i understand it would take longer but not with probs, spheres.

Can anyone give me a list of what the best ship i should get? and also a list of the best weapons for that ship? and what the best sheild is for that ship.

sorry to be a pain but I have tried some many different types now and its anoying me

thanks lee

There is no such thing as "the best", it just depends on your ship. For example, if your ship has weak shields then you need to get items/skills that will boost it.

To answer your other question, there is no "best" ship. They all have strengths and weaknesses. For example, escorts have weak shields, but their speed makes up for this. Cruisers have stronger shields but they are slow making it easier for an enemy to weaken on side of your shields.

It seems right to me. They aren't supposed to be easy to beat, its the Borg. You probably just need stronger equipment. When you are with the battle group omega, somewhere to the top left there is a ship that will sell you equipment. As you get close and interaction will pop up and say "requisition equipment". You'll need to do the daily exploration mission to get the currency for this equipment, but its worth it.

Again, there's no such thing as "the best ship" so there's nothing to correct. Your Sovereign is no better then my Hermes or someone else's Luna. It's the combination of Captain Class, BOs, Equipment chosen, and player's skill combined which makes any one ship better then any other. Your combination might have mean it took you 10 minutes to defeat the Borg Probes. My combination might mean I takes me 3 minutes. Someone else's might take them 20 minutes. You don't get to pick a Sovereign and say "I win!" simply because you consider that to be the best ship.

borg probes are pretty easy to beat, im not sure why you would be having trouble.

are you trying to do one of the task forces, because they are for five people, or do you have the difficulty turned up, or maybe your weapon power been turned down or something?

you really should not be struggling on probes

one thing you really want to pay attention to is your power levels, you might need an eps console or two

if you have six phaser arrays and turn sideways on a ship and fire all at the same time you will drain your power very quickly and never get it back up until you stop firing. an eps console will sort that out

This also. somtimes I click on speed power setting as well and forget to switch it back to weapons haha. It takes me a few moments to figure out why I am doing so little dmg. hehe

As the above posts indicate, there's so many reasons why something might not be working as efficiently as you want that it's almost impossible to pin-point any one cause of the problem.
