I reported and posted about that issue some days ago. So far, no word. But you are not alone, and yes it gets worse. Meanwhile, I only get B'Tran exploration and sometimes a random PvP (usually arena), but never warzones. Also, some people get the daily, but no reward for it. Last week - the last time Icheb gave that mission - I could turn it in on Makza along with the regular "fight in 15 warzones". After that, Into the Fray simply wasn't given out anymore.

I have about ten PVP missions I should have had Marks for but never got credit. The bugs in this game are laughable to say the least! And is Cryptic offering any kind of compensation for the bug. No way they just dont care. Tech support in the game is horrible. I submitted several tickets on other bugs. They just say ints under investigation or I should contact an in game GM to address these issues. The only problem is the GM responses have been Zero when I try to contact them. I wait for hours with no response. Cryptic as a game company has to be on the down turn. How can they possibly fix all the new bugs created with an new update or patch when a lot of the old bugs are still there and just as anoying as ever!

First of all, "compensation for the bug"? You got to be joking. Cryptic should probably offer everyone a free week of gameplay right? I mean hey, after all some daily farmers had to miss out on some pvp marks, that is totally unacceptable and a catastrophy of epic proportions...
So at least everyone should get 7x the daily pvp badges... ahh wait, there will be crying because that would also reward those who normally don't do the dailies... totally unacceptable and a catastrophy of... oh wait we had that already...

Ok so maybe you "just" expect the gms to go through the track record of 100K players, check who has been doing the quests every day and compensate those individually? Yeah, superb idea, justice will be served, this is how a game company has to handly it, that is the only "professional" way that could be acceptable for you I suppose.... oh wait, to pay for all the manpower hours this kind of stuff would involve the monthly fee would rise to about 100$

note: I have been hit by this bug as well, more than once. Even though I am not one of the pvp freaks I try to do the dailies every day and you can bet that I am displeased with the current situation just as well, but that doesn't remove my sense for realism.

On the more accurate/reaonable statements, yes the ingame support is, well, let's just say "lacking".
In terms of responses to bug reports one can't expect more than what was cited. I mean what else should they do? Make false statements such as "thank you so much for the report, here is 1 mil EC/merrits, oh and by the way I just personally assigned 5 people to go and take care of the bug right now!" to each of the several hundred reports that they get each day?

The actual ingame support/GM help is definitely suffering from sub-par standards though. The main issue, as far as I can tell, is that they simply don't have the tech/interface to actually help people. They might be able to generate items/EC etc. but they cannot dive into a character and modify it's stats, quests, BOs or whatever etc.

I assume (note: this is just my personal assumption, i can't back this up with anything, other than the fact that I have yet to come across anyone who has been helped by a GM in a way that would contradict my assumption) that Crytpic simply hasn't coded a "proper" GM interface (yet) due to time constraints. Thus the GMs don't have a choice other than to stick with talking/writing to help players.

Add to that a comparably large number of tickets/bugreports coming in per day having to be handled by a comparably small team and we arrive at the state we are currently in.

I realize you went on a rant responding to my post. I am not actually asking for compensation for every little thing that happens. My main point being. They need to stop what they are doing with all the updates. Stop giving us new content with more bugs on top of the bugs that are not fixed yet. They need to stop apoligizing for every mistake they make. They need to make the game bug free like it should have been two months ago. Just so you know I have been more than patient with Cryptic. Each and every ticket I sent in was responded to me at least by an automated response. I dont mind some automated responses. But I have very rare officer candidates I was not allowed to allocate. A Shield reading bug which caused me to dischage 650k worth of ships before I realized that maybe it did not make a difference. I respec my character three time in the first weekend it was out. I noticed zero difference in gameplay. They never even addressed a single bug issue in their replies. Its not all about the compensation. Its about the zero advice on the respecs. If a C store item is broken then yes I should get compensation. They were not in the least bit concerned or interested in answering my inquiries. They would be content to let me respec my character till I was blue in the face while wasting my money and probaly quitting the game all together. I dont know of any onther kind of subscription service that can get away with that kind of service. Evenif I am wrong they certainly did not even bother to tell me. Tell me why I am wrong. You mightt tell me why I am wrong now. But the whole point being its between me and Cryptic. Thats what the tech support is for. They actually suggested I start a thread about it on the forums and see if anyone else had these problems. Why would I do that when they never even addressed any of my issues to beging with. I could have sarted a thread about bad tech support. Posted all of my issues and have a huge rant about it. Its up to Cryptic to fix these issues. It is the last thing I want to do is to come on the forums and complain about Cryptic and STO. I dont believe in that. I dont wish to tear down this game. But Cryptic is content to sit idily by and Ignore me. And I cant really speak for anyone else. Im not sure I care if anyone else has been treated this way. And agian it comes back to the same thing. Its between myself and Cryptic. Im not happy about posting this stuff and I will stop now. I just feel Cryptic left me no other choice. And no I dont think quitting would solve the problem. It would just make it worse. Eventually I may leave. I still have hope! But that hope is fadiing. I dont like being ignored for so long.

I still dont know if my continued patronage is worth anything to Cryptic. Its up to them!

    I will be waiting!!

The Monday 5/17 PvP Daily was "Into the Fray" and has been the online daily that worked in the last couple of days.

I was about to say I know how you feel. But to be honest I don't. While our interactions with the GMs/tickets seem to have ended with the same "helpfulness" on their end, my issues were all minor ones and/or bugs that got fixed eventually.
The origin of your frustration is more clear now though. Also, despite my rant regarding compensations (-for bugged dailies), I totally agree that if a c-store item doesn't work the way it should/was advertised a refund/compensation is in order without question. Those items/products are clearly defined and if they are not delivered appropriately, they simply didn't fulfilll their end of the contract.

Regardless of the issue(s), getting a "go check the forums" answer to a GM ticket is certainly ...let's say odd.
However, depending on the nature of the problem it can still be worth a try, despite this being more Cryptic's job than anything else. Other players might have come across the same issue and found a workaround or know about the roots of the bug in more detail.

No, I actually think its more that they don't care because they don't sell dailies in the C-Store.

    I don't know.
It does seem rather unprofessional not to communicate with the player base.

Edit: i had the same problem with my Klingon BG5 PvP Daily 2 days ago. I haven't bothered trying it since. I'm getting really bored playing the same maps over and over and over again.

Lately it appears it is too much work to simply post 'We know its broken, we are working on it' about anything. Tickets go unanswered, there's even a forum game to spot the first dev post. Last time I was persistant about an issue (wrong Ferengi traits, see link), my topic was simply locked. There was no fight, no rude words, nothing. But there was time to lock it, when all I wanted was a simple line from the devs if the issue is being addressed.
A part of the problem is the advertisement for the C-Store - Ferengi traits are shown better than they are in game. That's false advertising. It should be in the interest of a company to at least get that right. But no, topic locked, no comment. In the meantime, 2 polls what stuff people want in the future. For that, there's time. For more fluff. But not to fix gamebreaking issues. Its true, if you are RA5 or BG5, you only have dailies or repeat missions you already did. Taking away the major part of it doesn't help anyone.

It seems like there is way to much in STO which was misrepresented when advertised or broken when delivered. Its easy for other players to sit by and be critical about our complaints when the bugs that bother us appearently do not concern them. Or they just ignore it alltogether. Im suprised STO even came to be. To be honest I think Cryptic is very content to see its player base dwindle to nothing. Just to have new players find the same problems and leave as well. Just like the one review I read about STO wash rinse and recycle missions. They just dont care because we are talking to a wall. A wall that is blocked of by a fence and a force field!!

I agree. There are many people complaining that they bought a lifetime sub and regret it. Well, to a point, I understand it. Some things were different in open beta. And some people probably really played and liked it, and bought the sub - just to get a different game when it went live.
In my case, I didn't buy a LTS though I considered. But I didn't play in beta - my old computer didn't really like it - and the perks didn't appeal to me. I had no desire to play any of the exclusive species, and the extra uniform I wanted came with a regular gold/preorder, so I got that and figured I'd try it out and not risk my money too easily.
Had I played in beta - I would probably have bought the LTS. The one Fed species that interested me, Ferengi, had a 'Lobes for Business' trait and were a regular playable species. Now, they are C-Store only and have different traits. That may not be a gamebreaker for others, but for me, its extremly frustratring. The other species I like are stuck in a faction with no content, and Nausicaans are designed to have the most possible clipping issues and look so wrong, I can't get myself to play one. I created a Nausicaan at least 6 or 7 times, and always dropped the idea in the end. I'm a sucker for details, and for me, the cosmetic issues - or lack of cosmetic options in some cases - does bother me a lot.

I doubt I'm the only player who liked the beta and got something taken away that could have saved the game - for me, personally. So I don't blame lifers who complain now.

Fixing the small things, or only posting an update, would at least show good will, and that the devs listen/care what the players say. I see nothing of that. Instead, more and more breaks and is bugged, and never gets fixed. See broken daily, see broken/extremly bugged exploration, see Aid the Planet in B'Tran, see Ker'rat, see so many other things. Some would really be easy fixes - like the mission text sending KDF players (at low/starter level) to the wrong NPC to turn in the mission. Its just a typo. Change a name in a text box. I'm patient with games. I work in 3D design myself. I know some things that look like easy fixes are more complex. But I also know some are not, some are really easy to fix. And that these are still bugged says - there is no good will.

Same for me on Fed side. I get the exploration where nearly all missions are bugged with enemies not spawning; and the one PvP I dislike and never did after the first time. I now spend a lot time on my KDF toon to embrace the full ignorance.
