What happens when.....

What happens when everyone is "blanaced" (nerfed) because of pvp and an inability to correctly fit a ship? What happens when we're not able to fight NPC's because of the nerfs? Why was a difficulty slider included again? What happens when tac officers can still use tactical initiative to instantly reset Attack Pattern Beta III on their BO's but the rest of us have to wait double for Attack Pattern Beta II to recharge?

Honestly, after having been on Tribble, it's worth writing off my lifetime sub as a loss just to not have to deal with the hassle and future nerfings. I didn't pay my sub fee to be a part of where the game is going. I paid it based on the potential of what the game could be.

I try, Lord knows I try, to be objective when I posy in the forums. You can check any of a number of my previous postings. Escorts were designed as glass cannons, it's their niche. On Tribble currently, they're just glass.

Last I checked, the space verison of this only cuts BO recharge timers in half, unless I missed something in the Tribble notes.

    Okay, thanks for the calrification.

It just bothers me that the answer to everything is "nerf". Right now, it's space abilities. When everyone figures out how much we, as players, have lost against NPCs due to getting smacked around in PvP missions three times a day, we'll move to ground combat. The cycle will repeat itself there. 90% of the game is based against NPCs folks. It's become common place in games as in real life that if someone has more than we do or are better at something than us, to try to break them down instead of aspire to achieve what they have. NPCs do not have the same constraints.

My guess will be that when the patch goes live we'll begin to see complaints about Emergency Power to Shields III, Weapons Modulation III, Reverse Sheild Polarity any, and Science Team III. Cryptic needs a convenient reason to reduce pre-patch sci mods anyway. Against lower DPS and longer cooldowns of Tac abilities, the Sheild stuff will be next for nerf.
