I previously ran the game as the demo. But yesterday I bought the game. Uninstalled the demo and installed the game from the dvd. Then I logged onto my account and redeemed the game key. But when log on the game it still says welcome to the demo, how come?
If your planing on using game cards, then just go out and buy one, and enter the key to your account. This counts the same as a subscription, and will kick in 30 days after your play time has been activated...
when you enter your retail key you are then taken to the subscription option screem. you must select a subscriptiom. After selecting a subscription you are taken to the payment section where you have to enter a valid payment method for the selected subscription. (Credit Card, game time card or paypal account)
You will not be charged for the subscription until after the 30 days are used.
I have an account all set up I installed from disk and I agreed to the 1 month recurring subscription... I cant think of anything else I should have to do in order to not be a demo account. It says retail on my account but its still treating as Demo
i have the same problem but with steam i downloaded demo then bought the game and when i play its just the demo again i redeem my key but for some reason i can not chose how to pay to play the game. by that i mean if i wanna pay by month or every three months.
I played the demo on Steam, then a friend bought the game. I wasn't sold, but he gave me his trial key so I could see the game. I uninstalled the demo, gave my account the trial code, and redownloaded the game through the torrent (eventually-- the downloader drove my antivirus crazy). The game installed fine, but now I can't find a way to deactivate Demo mode.
The game seems to be confused as to what kind of account I have; at every splash screen it tells me it's the demo, when I try to go to a different system it tells me to get a full version, then tells me that I'm cleared to warp to the system. Then when I give it the go ahead, it tells me to get a full version again.
Please. I really want to like this game, a few of my friends are already on board.
Perhaps the packaging should be amended. "Comes with 30 free days if you buy a month."
No, you don't have to buy anything. All you need to do in order to get the 30 free days is to enter a valid credit card number. You don't have to ever charge the card, just allow their system to validate it.
(Debit cards work too, although there will be a small charge of one currency unit followed by an immediate refund, since debit cards can't be validated without charging them)
The ability to purchase an extra month via a game time card, and not validate a credit or debit card, is an alternative for people who have no credit or debit cards. It's a bit like a surcharge for paying by cheque, except you don't actually pay more money overall.
