Probably a pointless thread but is there any chance of making the TR-116 rifle look like it does in canon? I know it'd only affect a small percentage of players in the game unless a generic version is added latter down the line since it was a pre-order special but at the moment it just looks like a compression phaser rifle with holograms over it.
This is it from the show:

And here's the design sketch:

Just a little nitpick.
Also related: Any chance we'll see the Regenerative Phaser in STO at some point? Back in DS9 it was mentioned that was being pushed into production instead of the TR-116. Or are we to assume that current STO phasers use that technology?

It's a projectile weapon (shoots bullets). However, the one on DS9 was equipped with a micro-transporter.
I included on a list of news weapons in the Improving Ground Combat Proposal:

Right, I just mean the general design of it looks more like a compression phaser rifle then the TR-116 we see on-screen. I didn't know it was on the list of new weapons in the proposal, thanks!
The proposal is something I'm organizing with player-feedback (just unofficial, player wish-lists) - a lot of good ideas in that thread.
If you know of any other weapons, please chime in. Variety goes a long way in MMOs.
the one in STO shoots through walls aswell, so can be considered to have the microtransporter too
Wait, there's a TR-116 in STO?
Where?
EDIT: Are you referencing the inconsistent LoS in STO?
I just wish it was abit more viable a weapon at RA5.
Projectile weapons would great to scale and add in. I'm pretty sure the transporter TR-116 would remain exclusive though.
