I can't find any Klingon's with the ridges to fight in a PvP match. I have, asked, taunted, and now begged, in game. Do you remember when, the Klingon's ruled PvP. Well as Mat Decker once said. " Not any more. "
Just you wait until the Romulan faction comes online. I will destroy you all. All hail Sela.
thats cause the Klingon faction has only a few players left. I used to play my Klingon every day, now I havent logged in on him for a long long long time. The Klingon faction is pretty much deserted.
Also, by god all of the Klingon T5 ships are ugly as sin..the Negh'var is a poorly done model...the lack of proper detail and colour is just baffling, there is no true full green colour you can give Klingon ships...whatever happened to having the vibrant green BoPs and Negh'vars now all we have is this murky green grey...and not to mention there are no original BoP designs...the ugly butt Mosquito and Hegh'ta BoPs are way too ugly for me to want to fly one.

PvP BG5 seems ok.

A lot of what killed pvp is the lop sided match's. no matter if you winning or losing if you can assure victory every time it gets boring. I know I get bored if I win all the time and I get equally bored if I lose all the time.
Some of this was the fault of cryptic for having a system that allows people to start a match as a fed and leave and get on there klink, I can't count the number of times a match started and the first and maybe 2 nd attack was fairly evenly matched but in short order the kilinks way outnumbered the feds and half the feds were suddenly missing.
A lot of this was players that think that losing is such a big deal they have to exploit a broken system to ensure a win.
I have seen match's were the numbers are fairly even 7-10 feds on 7-10 klinks but half the feds are either not fighting or moving at all for that matter or they repeatedly fly into the middle of the klink swarm over and over by them self's which most people a few points smarter then a rock would know better then to do.
I suspect that some of this is just people being stupid but, for awhile there it was every match and dif people doing it and I suspect that what was going on was that some of the most victorious groups either had alts or friends on there feds toons to ensure the feds did not have the numbers they needed to fight the klinks. I do not accept that the only players that know gang attacking a target and assisting your team mates just happen to be klinks. that defies logic.
It is not hard to win when you can overpower your enemy every time you fight them and I imagine some people just got bored with this, not saying that klinks as such are over powered but more often then not it is 5-10 klinks jumping on just me. That eventually gets old for both sides. Not saying either that it is a bad thing that klinks use this method but, if you sit back and think about it neutrally does it not strike you as odd that out of 5-10 fed ships spawning at the same time only one makes it out to the fighting at a time ? think about it.
Has everyone been using the "Join Any Game" feature instead of "Join New Game" feature?
I get remarkably shorter times in the Queue with the former option.
I noticed that, too. Though I honestly don't get what it is. I never joined a running game or one that already had teams, points, damage - anything indicating it is not 'new'.
I barely log on my KDF toon lately. Lack of everything just got too much. And overall, the entire faction is becoming too green-greyish. I also haven't seen a single exploration planet that was NOT a green swamp with green sky, green fog, green light and green plants in forever.
My experience has been that most Fed players are doing FvF PvP since FvF was introduced. I've been able to get into some BG5 matches without having to wait very long. My own personal observation, but Klingon population is light whenever I'm playing my Klingon. That said, I do know a whole lot of Fed players who will be rolling Klingons when the PvE content for them is released.
the klingon faction is pretty much thinned out.. i recently sat for over an hour on a fleet action, alone in the only one instance.. not much fun trying to solo it, so i finally returned to my fed toon.. and introducing an additional faction wont make it better for the klinks...
i actually think about trashing my klink in favour of a third fed, with so few character slots i'd rather have an active fed of each class than a klink whom i play once a month...
Klink side I primarily do ground combat and at the Lt.C thru Capt. ranks matches are very thin. After the latest patch where they added the "cant leave" brainfart, the likelihood of getting into a match on a consistent basis is pretty slim. You wait for an hour only to get in a match thats 5v1 or 5v2 (either side) and it sucks.
Put it this way, since the Season 1 patch......our Klingon fleet has dwindled in numbers to the point that Yesterday we disbanded it. I cant say what PvP is like Klink side at BG level because the highest klink I have is a Capt. 7. I gave up even logging any of my Klinks over a week ago due to the "cant Leave" feature because I was sick of completely lopsided matches and the complete lack of content.
Yes I know they say Klink content is coming, and I'll give it a whirl, but frankly even after the added content.....will there be any Klinks left to care?
And klingons want to do the STF. but there are few KDF around and the devs refuse to let klingons do the stf's with the feds. The lack of response on this is just ............................I'm guessing Cryptic will have killed the Klingon faction in 2 month.

You do realize there are people who play both factions, right? I've no idea when you're logging on, but whenever I'm on my Klingon I see lots of others flying around and multiple zone instances. I've also not had much trouble as of late getting into PvP matches with him.
That's not to say the PvP bugs are helping at all and there are those out there who aren't doing their daily PvP matches because of them, yet these "DDOOOOMMM!" posts are starting to get very old.
They drove away Klingons during closed beta (no Klingons then, promises of full PvE broken, etc.).
They drove away more Klingons after the "45-day" patch (errr, 60-day patch).
They drove away more Klingons after the Season 1 update and patches with still little love for the faction.
The drove away even more Klingons by constantly monkeying with the PvP balance (even though I prefer it better now).
And they're still driving away Klingons by not treating it like a real faction (Fed items, races, fluff, no Klingon love).
Cryptic has no clue how to handle faction-play since the Klingons are a side-note in STO. And this is coming from a mostly Fed player who plays a Klingon alt.
I am disappointed in this thread. I expected to see a bum in rags holding a sign "Will work for food". But nope, just cipher still blasting cryptic. We need more threads like these.......or just relive Gamerant thread of why STO has failed....

I'll stop blasting Cryptic when they decide to get their act together and 1.) deliver the big items promised during development, and 2.) make end-game actually fun with better repeatables that give us something to work for.

are you talking about ground or space? I said in my post on klink side I primarily ground PvP, and below the BG lvl ques are few and far between, you cant tell me what my own eyes and ears (listening to whats left of my gaming crew on Vent talk about the lack of people in the Ques) and what I see on the various interfleet and Klink PvP channels in chat. Space may be a different story (probably is) but I get my space fight fix Fed side mostly. Klink side I am spec'd for ground and to be honest on my Capt. 7, I havent even purchased a ship for her since Lt. Com level.
Your mention of daily missions leads me to believe your PvPing at T5, and things might be all rosy there but trying to grind thru the lower ranks is now like pulling teeth. Like I said I have shelved my Klinks till Season 2 in the hopes that Klinks will actually be a viable faction worth playing. But so far this is really startign to remind me of Cryptic's treatment of Villains back in the day .
Both, but I do tend to run space PvP matches much more than I do ground. Being perma held by Riflebutts is fun for only so long.

Yes I'm at T5 on mine, but to be honest I don't see all that much of a difference from when I was levelling him. Levelling outside of PvP matches has always been an excercise in monotony on the Klingon side, so again I don't see much of a difference between now and a month or so ago. It's my experience that the queque bugs are what is hurting them the most atm.
I'd like to roll another Klingon alt or two, but I'm waiting for the PvE content in Season 2 for them.
I have a BG and and a Kling I am currently leveling. LTC2 I believe. Honestly, I avoid ground if I can help it. The matches take to long and are pretty boring imho. I space PVP quite a bit and I haven't had any trouble usually. At BG no time at all in Q and at LTC there is usually a shortage of Feds but not to long a wait.
I've been pvping as a Klingon ltc is pretty much dead for klingons trying to get up in levels, because the Feds won't play with us. Well okay we actually lost a cracked planet vrs a 5-9 lvl higher full group of feds, but it was close and those Feds were umm organized otherwise we totally would have pwned em...
I never ground PvP on any side. I tried, I won, I lost, but overall, I'm still too much a Star Trek fan to simply think "Hey, cool, this 1 meter tall completely black dude with a huge head called Far'Ting HURTZ is a great team mate!" In space, I don't have to endure the ridicolous abominations of the alien creator. I'm also one of the griefers letting the enemy win in warzones if my allies have stupid ship names with stupid captain names. We all have our cross to bear.

Could't agree more. I really hate the alien caracter builder that allows to make tiny players
that is hell to target in pvp. Just to silly. I ignore those players in pvp, i want to fight men and good
looking girls not hobbits
I don't care so much about my enemy's sex appeal - I'd be happy to just see something reminding me of Star Trek. If I could make a wish, it would be a real 'ignore' feature. Ignored player: becomes invisible to me and the game acts like he's not there. Auto-requeques if that player happens to be in the same game, so I never ever see them. Not in sector space, not in fleet actions, nowhere. When I get that, I'm back in ground PvP.
i disagree with you, Ariev - Star Trek has a strong focus on tolerance and diversity - if you only accept aliens you are familiar with from the tv shows, you miss the point entirely..
the galaxis is a lively and diverse place in star trek, with the tv shows only portraying a small fraction of possible life forms..

whatchya got against hobbits? we have dwarves and elves as founding members of the federation, hobbits have all the right to be here...

 QFT ! Those fanboi's ( you know who you are ) that roll their eyes and say well they've add content etc. You just don't get it ? This game is now stuck in the 50 k to 100 k sub range and will never recover , without a major overhaul. While you may be happy now , you're just whistling in the dark. The longer this situation persists the less money Cryptic has at it's disposal , the less likely it'll have the ability to change it's current condition. Even if they desparately wanted to.

I know that might seem like it's the case. It's not quite that though. There's interest on the fed side to pvp. There's problems with the way the queueing works. The devs are working on fixing this. But until they do, it creates this issue. You get lopsided matches. You get what seems to be one side not interested in PVP. You get horrible decisions (like the one to remove the ability to exit a map) that wards some people off of PVP altogether.
There's some technical and organizational issues that really need to be addressed with PVP. That right now make it seem way more dead than I think accurately reflects the players' interest.
I think there are feds who want to pvp against you. But ... there's some glitches that affect the smooth ability for the game to put you both together on the same map.
