Crafting ideas

We all have had a chance to see the new UI and try out the new memory alpha system. The next step cryptic is making added crafting stuff and with that i want to put this out, we are many and i am sure some awsome(ly bad :P) idea's could come out of this.

A few idea's we had in tribble chat involved the following:

- Droppable designs, these could be coupled with boss drops for special items. Some of you may still remember the overcharged sniper plasma rifle and the efficient engine. items like that would be awsome to make crafting usefull.

- Craftable transwarp tech: Equip one and you get a new target for transwarp (things like the transwarp gate to gamma orionis, ds9, memory alpha, could be warp points.)

- Craftable pet shuttles.

- New series of Kits for each class.

- Maybe a different line of consumables to give defensive buffs instead of offensive.

- Craftable uniforms/ship skins and maybe even bridges.

- Holographic or synthetic pets

- Reverse crafting (breaking down full items to harvestable materials) (@marchwarden)

anyways as i am sure, the rest of you can think of better/more itneresting idea's as i did. So go on ^_^, will edit them in (with credit) in the OP.

    I really like some of those ideas. Craftable pet shuttles would be very popular. The kit idea I think I've seen mentioned quite often already. And the transwarp idea would tap into some other ideas I've seen mentioned quite a bit.

    All good ideas. But then again, almost any idea at this point would be an improvement.

    I would also like to be able to break down drops that we get for parts (both the required ship part and the consumable anomolies). Break it down by tiers based on how common the drop is.
