The Tzenkethi...

DS9 Season 4 episode named a species which had been in a border war with the Federation in the 24th century.
They haven't appeared on screen.
The Tzenkethi.....
Could be an interesting ally for the Romulan faction or useful in some other way.
A blank slate to work with for Cryptic.

Nice idea if CBS allows them to do it.

Definitely want to see more "micro" factions present for PvE and diplomacy; the Tzenkethi, the Breen, the Ferengi, that race in the Beta-Quadrant that Voyager *would* have encountered before getting home [i.e. north-east of Romulan space], the Talarians... Just give them a single sector, and open up the Federation's Alpha-Quadrant sectors.

I like the idea of cryptic introduing things that were mentioned but never actually seen. Like the transparent skulled Gallamites or theNyberrite Alliance. I think it'd give cryptic a bit more leeway in terms of what CBS allows them to do.

    I had thought the same.
However, i did read the future Dabo mini-game that CBS were concerned because no official rules existed for it and they didn't want Cryptic coming up with there own in case Dabo rules were ever explained in Star Trek.
So Cryptic are making a variant of Dabo.
A useful sidestep to get around the problem.

The conflict with the Tzenkethi is mentioned in an Exploration / Scan 5 anomalies mission.

I do like the idea from the writer's note: He saw the Tzenkethi as being "heavily-armored lizard things"
