Miracle worker has been updated so chance to repair damaged subsystems is 100% when activated.
Thank you Cryptic was much needed.
You understand the difference between disabled and drained subsystem, aye ? But even if it removed the drains, i would hardly call something with 10 mins cooldown a counter.

It is better than nothing least they are trying. If you use MW and emergancy power to shields it helps alot to counter TSS.
that's fairly meh when you are getting lawled from 3 different enemies...
If three different enemy are attacking you with TSS at the same time, what makes you think that you shouldn't have a hard time keeping your shields up? Thats the downside of being dogpiled in combat and it should suck to be the target of a concentrated attack.
Supposedly Engineering Team removes a drain, but I'm not convinced that it works. Or maybe it only has a percentage chance of working. It's hard to tell. When you have only a few seconds to live, you don't really have time to check and see if ET worked, lol.
If ET isn't working, then they really need to fix it. I think the biggest problem with TSS is that there is no other way to help a buddy that's being drained.
Engineer team fixes the downed subsystem it does not remove drain.
All you can do about the drain is set your shield power to high and hit emergency power to shields.

this, although you can also pop a battery or EPS power transfer (which stacks btw).

Yeah, we can just add MW to the TSS counter list, which most of us descend one after the other in order until our shields come back to the proper level.
1. Raise Shields to 100
2. EPtS
3. EPS Power Transfer
4. Shields Battery
5. And now, Miracle Worker
Honestly though, I'd probably never use MW itself just for a TSS debuff. I have it pumped up to heal 95% of my hull at full power, so that's more my "I'm in the single digits, Scotty Save Me!" power.
I don't really use ET III as a TSx counter though, and more for a 16k heal and resist bump; I'd be afraid of using it to get my shields back in case I may need a 15,500 hull heal in a few seconds instead for an ally or myself.
If an ally gets drained and it's a premade, usually they'll holler for an EPS Transfer, or a Science Team or Extend Shields or something if they're out of counters.
So, the patch note is right and this thread is completely wrong.
Correct.
This reminds me of the other thread I read a few days ago about a fellow claiming EPtS removes the TSS drain debuff, and boy was he adamant that he was right. Such profound misunderstanding of game mechanics. -_-

What i ment in the post is TSS has a chance to disable the whole system. MW will fix that, but you are correct in the drain part. I just misworded what i was saying in the post.

That's not true either. Beam Target Subsystem: Shield never had a chance to disable the entire shield system.
It can drain power to disable all facings.
It can proc a SINGLE FACING shield offline.
Are you saying MW now restores the downed single shield facing immediately?
1. Emergency power to Shields
2. Shield Battery
3. EPS
4. Change your shield power settings, increasing the energy to the shields.
5. I think Transfer shield power will work from a friend
6. I believe extend shields also helps
There might even be more but I'm drawing a blank.
P.S. Yes engineering team and miracle worker will both fix the single side shield drop proc of TSS.

Thanks Andor, I feel like a noob now, lol. I read in the list of counters that EPtS and ET were hard counters to TSS, I assumed it removed one of the shield drain debuffs, boy was I wrong.
Wow, that makes TSS deadlier than I thought. Even if you manage to keep your shields up with the soft counters, your DPS is going to plummet, not to mention the fact that Extend Shields would be severely diminished in effectiveness.
Perhaps we could talk Faithborn into adding to his counters list that it doesn't affect shield drain.
I think the confusion comes from the fact that the shield drop only occurs I think its 30% of the time.
So sometimes its just the drain and sometimes its the drain and a shield drops.
Sometimes its just a phaser procing but in the heat of battle even a 3 to 5 second drop of the shields can mean death.

Yeah and you have to be an engineering officer and it actually 15 min CD.

ofc if you have capable team m8s its all good....

Does Miracle Worker now cause systems with 0 power to come online?
no, it will repair a damaged subsystem, not a drained one
