So my friend and I decided to try our new captian ships in pvp, after a 10 min wait we finnaly get in... however even though he put us in as a group it put us into different matches.... ok so we try to leave and we cant..huh ok guess we'll have to just finish them we decide, however in my match it is 5 fed vs 1 kling who refuses to decloak and fight. so now im stuck in a never ending match and there is no way to leave. If I want to leave let me leave just put a 15 time on me or something so i cant rejoin pvp for the duration.

basicly HOW DID YOU NOT THINK OF THAT HAPPENING yes its annoying that people leave because there team is losing but thats just how its gonna go, Just make it so they cant rejoin for "x" min and do it again. Also i havnt't done alot of pvp so im not sure, but is it possible for other people to join in during a match if somone leaves? cause if not that would be a no brainer solution

The queues seem to be putting in more unbalanced teams in the lower tiers right now (my new Klingon alt is suffering this a lot atm). They removed the exit thing in anticipation of some kind of "early exit penalty", however there is one way to get out of a match still. Fly to the edge of the map and a popup will appear asking if you want to warp out.

I use the edge of the map for when we get into a 5:1 or 5:2 and the opponents quit, stranding us. It's the only way to get out without the 15m penalty as far as I can tell.

Also, it may not have been him cloaked, he could have quit. That't what happens to me a lot; they leave the match. If they quit the match, thy still show up in the reports with their pre-quit stats. Personally, I think folks should just finish it so everyone gets their points.

heh well he was actually just flying around cloaked, he was laughing about it 2. also i logged out in an attemt to escape and got a "glitch" where i could see him no matter what but couldnt attack at all (appaerntly i was in the zone withour really being in the zone or something)

Full impulse to the edge of the map. When you get there it will allow you to warp out via a dialogue box. Problem solved...;)

"in my match it is 5 fed vs 1 kling who refuses to decloak and fight."

not so sure about the gripe

one clever klingon vs 5 feds

options limited, fight and die, or go for a draw

the evidence is clear- One Klingon- the match of 5 feds

    Yah, one hiding Klingon.

    I don't feel especially awed.

They need to give us "Flushing Torpedos" for just such an occasion.

Or better yet, make the Galaxy X's cannon rip them out of cloak before blowing them up!

What needs to happen is for the match to be even in order to start.
but since apparently we're making silly statements how about a transphasic bomb that pushes everyone out of the fed ball that they are using extend shields and hazard emitters on each other?

    Granted!

I play SOLO and hate the group thing! Battles should break down to 1 vs 1 instances!

So your bomb won't bother me. I'll be the one out on the flank using the Flushers to fish for klingons.

That's already in game heh. It's called tractor repulsors or photonic shockwave. I see that tactic more and more in PvP at RA5 from Klingons to push the cruisers >5k away from the others.

I thought that was to be able to sing the full lyrics of "I'm so excited" in /zone chat during a match? :P

I like it when they do this!

It saves me from having to cut throttle to get the but huggers in my forward arc and gives me more time to pound them .

every once in a while when someone scrambles me I will purposely tractor an escort so I can extend on him.

he may not like it but he's not dying while that cone and line are on him.

So basically: While jammed, escorts must obey leash laws within 5k of Faithborn :p.

I fly an Escort and anytime I've been tractored I just pivot easily and bring my cannon to bear on the tractoring ship.

The only time it's inconvenient is when the PvP gangs buddies all but hump me cause that's just PvP in this game.

The tractor beam holds me at a perfect range so I can keep firing.

I think all STO ships should leak an invisible version of Venting Warp Plasma to keep all those but humps away!

if you can turn you can fly away, tractors kill your turning momentum as well. Additionally, any player that tractors you while your in a firing arc on him is an idiot.

And that still doesn't stop certain players from tractoring cruisers which never have a firing arc not facing them...

Its pretty fine to tractor escort facing you, IF you face it with cruiser also. Hold it, shoot all weapons and RAM him. A cruiser with full speed can ONE-SHOT any escort or science ship if they have the shield facing down.

should have clarified, I meant it for defensive reasons. Tractoring to keep a shield face exposed can work, its just dangerous

Dangerous stuff works best. Ramming speed is best cruiser feedback pulse. The mass is overwhelming

Sorry I haven't ever been really stuck by a Tractor beam just held at a certain range very loosely.

I can pivot freely, albet slowly. I can break free if I apply Evasive.
